Stopped counting around 8 or 9 but caught about that many more. I was catching some big fish about a month ago. Landed an 18"er and a 22"er the first Saturday in May. Nothing big in recent weeks but still catching a LOT.

Lake Norman state park has tons of good stuff along their hiking trail. It's like 10 minutes from Mooresville.

Spots have absolutely ruined fishing on lake norman.  A quality largemouth is really hard to come across now.

Yeah and they're ruining the rest of the catawba lakes. Hickory and wateree are the best catawba lakes for quality largemouth

Wateree has always been my go to largemouth spot.  

The river up in Belmont has some gems in it too.  Caught an 8 pound largemouth and a 26 pound buffalo carp in the same day last year, and regularly crush the blues up there.

You talking about up past 85? I've always done well way up there to the right of the dam where those houses are
