We already have plenty of Not Good Enough QBs on the roster. There is no reason whatsoever to add another one.

FIFY.

At least Corral hasn't proved it in the NFL yet. If Baker was good enough the Browns wouldn't have spent their future in picks and cap on a serial sexual predator.

Baker had one of the best lines in football, an awesome run game, and a bunch of weapons and his QBR was 35.1 last year compared to Darnold's 33.2 with one of the worst lines in football.

If you think Baker will improve with our new line (which PFF now ranks 24th), you're in for an unpleasant surprise.

Baker is another mistake, just like Sam was.

I’m no baker fan but let’s not forget that even tho he had one of the best run games in the league and the coaching staff flat out said his injury was affecting him throwing the ball. They promptly came out the next week and threw it 50 times. They’re still the browns

Yes last year Baker played with one bad shoulder and produced his worst ratings of his career and STILL beat out Sam.  Now do any other year comparing the two QBs.  Baker is far from elite, but he is way better than Sam who actually plays worse when he has time.

Oh, your QB is injured? Time to really lean on him now!

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
