If Mayfield got injured, would you really wanna start Corral?

Actually . . . yes.

I would rather know what we have there before the next draft, not left wondering.

PJ Walker tho . . . I will lose my (*@#ing mind if he sticks on the roster.

The 5th year option was a sunk cost the moment we picked it up. Cutting him now or letting him walk later it's gone regardless.

Yes. Mayfield for all his flaws has been a successful starter at one point but Sam has been the same going back to USC. If push comes to shove you just cut your losses and be done with it.

Still have to field a team this year, and Rhule isn't likely to go for that option.

Speculation but doesn't the Mayfield deal kind of indicate they've seen enough out of Corral to believe his ceiling is higher than Darnold's?

Of course they don't want to play him this year however.

Way too soon to know anything substantive...

Hey that man is undefeated as an NFL starter.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
