Cam was never the same since…..

Not often do you see a league MVP and all world talent just fall off a cliff and it’s sad to see.

Many will point to the SB as the event that Cam was never the same. For me it was November 8, 2018.

I was at that Steelers game, team was flying to PIT 6-2 and Cam started that season COOKING. CMC was a stud, this team had a fast start

Go up early against the Steelers 7-0 and I’m like here this team goes, we got this.

Costly turnovers and the Steelers D. Cam was sacked 5 times one of which I feel that TJ Watt basically finished off Cam’s shoulder. Team went on to finished 7-9 from a 6-2 start and Cam was never the same since

Rub salt in the wound, we were also just a couple games away from having back to back winning seasons.

Odd post but it started well before that, Benjamin started the job and Watt finished it off.

Cam has mentioned multiple times that he didn’t feel fully healthy until a couple of years later. I believe his exact words were that he felt like a “wounded dog”. If you fast forward a couple of years from 2016, you get to 2018… where Watt finished Cam off for good. Unfortunately shoulder injures can provide pain and clicking well after they are technically healed (personal experience).

It was the Int where KB didn’t try to tackle the db.  That’s what ruined Cam.

KB downed him and the idiot refs admitted it and reversed the return after. If it had been called correctly in the first place by an official standing right beside the play the shoulder injury never happens.

We were briefly above .500 overall W/L as a franchise at one point in 2018.

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
    • They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird.  pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.
