Howell? He had one of the bottom three OL’s in all of college football last year and lost all of his weapons (outside of Josh Downs) to the NFL (Dazz Newsome, Dyami Brown, Michael Carter, and Javonte Williams).

Howell has got more practical moves than finesse jukes, but he's a decent scrambler. 

He still hasn't locked that job up. He's somewhat shaky. He needs more protection if they decide to give him a run next season.

Some of us advocated for giving him a look. Imagine being able to keep CMC, Moore, all our draft picks and have Howell starting behind a refined O-line. We win the South this year and are deep playoff contenders. No question.

We sucked three weeks ago and it wasn't allowed if it was about bad pre draft evaluation takes on CJ Stroud. But it is allowed for Sam Howell, because....UNC? Just trying to understand why one of those is fun and the other isn't?

We cracked down on it because there were tons of thread bumps. Not one or two. They were becoming overwhelming.

Howell is *light years* better than Bryce Young.  I actually am not sure that Bryce Young is better than any team's backup QB, including our own.
