I would give Baker another series and then Darnold the rest of the half followed by Corral in the second half, but what do I know.  PJ should be cut because there is no path for him to make this roster without Darnold getting cut.  Also it would be nice if Icky got some valuable reps and Mays got some at center.

I can sign on with pretty much all of that...

Oh, he also said even though the report came out about Baker being named the starter already, he expects it to be made official sooner than later.

No reason in waiting til Monday to announce it if neither guy is playing tmrw. If they trot Sam out there to play the first quarter that would confirm it anyways

its honeslty probably already shared internally with the team today. It will be casually shared by Rhule in a presser.

Let Corral play the entire game. Come on now.

What can we actually lose by doing this? Absolutely nothing. Let's see what he's got for a whole game. If he sucks a whole game, bubble wrap him. No complaints here. We know what would happen though 😉

He's itching to prove the NFL wrong, especially Pickett going before him with his two year record effort at Ole Miss. If I was his coach I'd be intrigued by that motivation that desire to take the bag then take the NFLs bag.

    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
