Idk man.  Matt definitely looked better, but he still looked bad.  Those deep throws were especially troubling.  I know the blocking was atrocious, but I don't see anything to be excited about with Matt right now.

And PJ played like poo tonight.  Usually, he'll have one or two big mistakes, but he has several big plays/throws to outweigh them.  He only had the bad plays tonight.

Those two dropped INTs were so bad.

Corral has a nice quick release and decent mobility but he looks a loooooong way away from seeing an NFL field in a meaningful game.

Why are fans pretending we're not coming into this season with the worst stretch of Panthers' football to date?

Guys, we're a perpetual 5 win team, with a coach on the hot seat, that has to sign cast-off quarterbacks yearly to fill the most important position in sports. It's probably okay if some people are a bit negative, they have the right to be. The ol' R-E-L-A-X shtick doesn't work when your quarterback isn't Roders.

Our 2nd stringers and guys who will actually make the team and play done well tonight. There's no reason to panic about our 3rd and 4th stringers looking like camp fodder when they won't be here in 2 weeks. It's safe to say that PJ is gone and maybe Corral is gonna need more time to develop than we thought which is ok as long as Baker can hold down the fort and play well.

People might be panicking because some of those guys are depth and they didn't look competent for the most part

Who is this depth you speak of.. The 2nd and 3rd team held their starters to 7 points in 17 min.. The 4th string Offense got crushed.. Reality check..

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
