You guys do realize this is the perfect excuse for Rhule to put Corral on IR and keep PJ around for one more year right?

Don't be surprised when that happens Monday.

As soon as they said he had an injury I thought this.  Corral is going on IR, they are gonna stash him that way...bad part is because he won't be able to practice they're just gonna burn his rookie season.

If Corral goes to IR PJ should still be cut. If we are down to 3rd string we can sign someone off the street who will play just as well as PJ could.

If it came down to it, we could just sign PJ again. Nobody else is picking him up so he’ll be on his couch waiting for Rhule’s call.

But but but …. PJ is 2-0 in the NFL,,, as nd went to Temple…. He’s on his way to the Hall of Fame ..

sadly , we’re so accustomed to bad decisions by Rhule, that we see ghosts everywhere.. ( put Corral on IR so PJ get a helmet , and no practice for Corral )

No one thinks PJ deserves a spot on this roster , where we have Baker. Sam , and Corral …. But we’re worried he’ll find a spot.

i wonder if the new OC and QB  coaches will have any imput . ?

I don’t believe they can put anyone on IR until the final roster is set.  So that means they will cut PJ, keep the rest of the QBs, and resign PJ after they put Corrall on IR. Pj may be able to go to practice as well.

That would be the professional way to handle the situation. If they IR Corral before the 53 man cut he's done for the year, no practicing at all. That would be horrible for his development.

After the announcement Rhule said that changes how many qbs they had to keep on the roster.   Aka only have to use 2 roster spots now instead of 3.  He basically said today PJ is gone.

That is the way I heard it. He will be waived and thrymight try to stash him on the practice squad  or he gets picked by someone else.

    • I agree, unfortunately Styles is likely to be gone to the Cowboys at 12 if not sooner.
    • This is what I was going to post.  If he doesn't go top 10, someone will trade up for him.  He is a difference maker. Wondering where the TE from Oregon is.  This is the first mock I've seen without him in the first round.  Would like the Panthers to upgrade that position and give our QB a security blanket on possession routes to complement what Tet and Jalen can do down the field.
    • Proctor and Lomu still on the board at 19?  I don't think we have the luxury to pass on them after Icky's injury.  Anything other than a stud LT in the 1st round if they are still there is the wrong pick. Sure, Styles will be a great pick for anyone that gets him including us.  But for us, at what cost?  A great defense won't mean a hill of beans if Young is constantly running for his life.  Protecting Young should be our biggest priority.  If Icky had not been injured then Styles, Parker or Allen would have been fine with me.  In fact, with who was left I would have seriously considered taking calls to trade back 5 to 6 spots and gain draft capital.
