Does Butker count?

Yep that’s probably mine as well. Young draft pick comes in and does well, but the other guy is just the solid overpaid vet so the rookie gets cut.

Writing was on the wall for Gano.  Why draft a kicker at all if he plays great and then you still cut him?  Wasted opportunity.  One of Gettleman’s best draft picks

During the 01-07 ish I was super bummed at cutting 6th/7th/5th rounding(drafting too). Too seasoned in current fan form and now it's a dart toss 5-7.

I'd have to do some thinking, the best I got was the first time Kenny Robinson....hell I still think hes the best true free safety on the whole roster and much better than chandler...

When was Gettis cut? I was a stooge thinking he was at worst a #2.

Got to be some OL/DL man I spregggged about.

edit- Stanley Mcclover is one...

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
