We started slow but actually made half time adjustments and played better as the game went on. You can be mad at Rhule all you want he dose deserve blame for how bad we looked at the start but after the 4th fumbled snap, I can't blame him for playing it safe for the FG. It almost worked if not for 2 terrible calls by the refs.

You should be right but I am expecting implosion. All the elements are there and now the pressure is being added. They will win some games but I don't think it will be more than last year even if they are more competitive.

I don't think we will be nearly as unwatchable as last season even if we are not successful. Unless Baker gets injured.

He wasn't great but it's clear that he adds an element of being able to suddenly come back that we don't usually have. That's not nothing.

he still sucked ass, a bit better than sam but not the long term answer

That was always going to be the outcome. He isn't on the roster next season and that is a great thing moving forward if he won't come back for another low cost contract for us. Spent a 5th on a maybe.

You are not wrong and it is an important distinction from last year. He will be who he was in Cleveland, some dry games and some stat padding games. He will not carry a win often.

    • Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.
    • Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
    • The defense has mostly stuck to the "break slowly" and get a turnover or two still zero pass rush
