Sean Payton explains a winning game plan in the NFL 100% contradictory to what Matt Rhule is trying to do.

Payton really easily eyeballed the Panthers as a team that will go to a 2nd QB this year and not because of injury.

The shitshow is so obvious to basically everyone but 10% of the Panther fanbase.   The QB move IMO will clearly just be because we are floundering and firing coaches and benching QBs is all Rhule can really throw against the wall as his evitable end comes

I won't deny that's a possibility.

It'd be stupid, but I remember who our head coach is.

Baker is gonna have a short leash this year. He is a franchise QB. But Ruhle will bench him when he has to not because he deserves it but because he is running out of poo to throw against the wall

Just becomes about self-preservation.  It's what coaches do.  Fire the OL coach.  Bench the QB.  Find something to buy you another week and not get fired in season.

We as Panthers nation owe Andy Reid a debt of gratitude for trading up and taking Patrick Mahomes.  Having that guy in our division for 15 years would have been a nightmare.

And yea, Payton sounds like a quality NFL coach.  We should try one of those around here sometime.  It'd be novel.

If the defense continues to look like it does now but he fires somebody other than Phil Snow, it's gonna be... interesting.

DL coach, LB coach, secondary coach.  Phil Snow is untouchable IMO.  Rhule needs him too badly for his next job.  I don't see Snow getting tossed under the bus unless he willingly tells Rhule to do it and they have plan in place to be in college next year.

I do wonder if there's a possibility of Snow falling on the sword to protect Rhule by resigning.

Sean Payton preaching balance and not putting everything on the QB.  You know, the exact opposite of what he essentially did with Brees for years.

It's just amazing to watch Panthers fans drooling over an a-hole coach of a rival who could only win a SB by literally cheating to hurt other players, getting caught and receiving the biggest penalty in the history of professional sports.

And yes Rhule beat Payton last year.  @Ricky Spanish

Here's Peyton immediately after the game.

They they played better than us today and deserve to win the football game.

I was about to get all sanctimonious but you're right, I did not realize he was on the sideline last year. It was so bad I stopped caring halfway through the season, but you're right.

He's still a better coach than Matt Rhule though. Even if he has a butthole mouth and he's an asshat.

If baker was a franchise qb there would probably be more interest than literally one team and that interest would probably include a higher pick and definitely wouldn’t require baker to take a pay cut lol, historically, those terms don’t go along with a franchise qb

some of you guys have Rhule syndrome thinking you see something the rest of the nfl can’t or didn’t

tank or trade the farm and get the future is the only way -est. 2019, still waiting

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolina continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
