How could we not give Fitt another chance?!?

With Rhule having final say on all personnel decisions, I think it’s fair to say Fitt was in a tough spot when it came to trading assets for players Rhule wanted e.g. Darnold, Mayfield and CJ Henderson. It’s been suggested that Carlos Dunlap wanted to come here if not for Rhule’s refusal to guarantee him a starting role.

This past offseason appeared to reveal a slight shift in the caliber of players we acquired. I would personally like to see how Fitt and the rest of the FO will function without Rhule’s influence.

A “spot” he was conscious of and accepted when he took his current position.

When you accept the known circumstances of the position and accept the big Tepper money that pays you in that position, you’re not allowed to avoid responsibility for the state of the franchise.

Honestly, I don’t get the Fit defenders logic. It’s like y’all think Tepper stole Fitt from an orphanage and forced him in the GM position without his approval.

You talk as if we gave up something significant.

We didn't.

With Fitterer in control now, and given his excellent pedigree in college scouting, I would think a choice of one of the top 200 players coming out of college would be something we'd like to have.

If he was bidding against himself for Mayfield, I'd say he won.

We got him for peanuts and the Browns ate most of his salary.

I have no issue with the Baker trade even now. We gave up nothing for him.

the Trade for a Matt Corrall is looking kinda steep now but still not terrible overall. I do think we need to slow way down on trading anything 1-4, after round 4 I don’t care.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
