That's why Stroud/Young has to be traded next October when the team is 0-7, and averages 64 yards of total offense. Because you're not gonna win with them, so may as well deal them for more draft picks you can use on players you won't win with, so you can trade them for future draft picks to get players you won't win with, and so on and so forth.

Yes. It is a terrible cycle. And we only have our current brain trust to blame. No fan here or in the stadium is making these moves. And no I do not consider Tepper or Fitt fans cause I dont think even the dumbest person here would make the moves we have seen the past several years.

Team has a franchise LT, EDGE, Corner and a WR1.  Not to mention Chinn and Brown.  There are plenty of building blocks in place and thankfully at the most important positions.  Dont be silly this team is pretty appealing for a new coach coming in.  Especially when they get to pick their QB first overall.  Team is bad but for the first time in two years we actually have a light at the end of the tunnel.  A young QB developing with a good Oline and you always got a shot.

We moved an aging player at a very low value position for a bundle of picks to give our young QB more weapons.  I know its sad to see CMC leave but this team is in a better spot than Rhule got here if we land a top QB in the draft.

Burns is nor a franchise edge.

He is a slightly above average player and he's the one overvalued by you guys.

This trade is the NFL GM equivalent of making a bunch of bad financial decisions, so you have to take your best asset to the pawn shop and take what you can get.

People can do mental gymnastics about how a late 2nd and late 3rd is a "haul", but when you zoom out, this trade is really a capstone of a very poorly run team.

It is a haul for a 27 year old often injured running back.

I thought we’d be lucky to get a second. We got 3 other picks on top of that. It’s not mental gymnastics that fitterer imo should be fired for the capital he gave up for Darnold and baker. Especially Darnold. That is a fireable offense imo. But even if he didn’t do those things this was still a good move and a good trade.

No one can look at this trade, Fort Mill, Eastland, Rhule's contract or any number of moves and not think this team is owned by a guy trying desperately to relocate.

Unless, of course, your head is shoved so far up your ass that sunlight is as likely to reach it as the Panthers are to winning nine games in a season. Quite a few morons on here fit that bill quite well.

Why do you not want a 1100-yard WR? Do you live in St. Louis?

that's not the question though.

DJ Moore will be going into his 6th season next year.  And we are about to entire a 100% offensive rebuild.

Do you think DJ thinks he fits here at this point? Going through the slow grind of building something up?

    • We will make it interesting. I think we'll be on a roll by then.
    • Especially glad there's no Thursday games. I hate them. They're dangerous. They really fug up a routine and unless you're team is coming off a bye, they play the game with little rest or prep.
    • Sober. Still feeling it. I really like how the schedule is laid out for us. Perfect for a new HC and rebuilding team. Aside from the Bengals, there aren't  any good teams before the bye. Chargers will be, but they're having to figure poo out just like we are and they'll be coming here for an early game. That one is a toss up. I like our defense against them. I think we'll give the Bengals a fight, but I wouldn't put money on us winning that one. But the saints can be swept. They're beat up and just don't have much going on. They'll be at the bottom of the division. I feel like we will split with the falcons and the bucs. There's nothing scary about the raiders or that washington team. Chicago is another toss up, but they aren't scary either....not yet anyways. We're getting them early in the season so I like our chances. I especially like our defense against a rookie QB. And the broncos....boring. Giants....again, boring. Looking at this, we've got a good defensive thing going on. I think the unit will be better this year a d we're in season 2 of Evero. I like us especially against rookie QBs, and we'll have at least 3 we're facing before the bye. We come in and play smash mouth football and just keep hitting (pounding) away and I think we're competitive. It's that schedule after the bye that scares me. Hopefully by that point they've built up a lot of confidence. You get a scrappy dawg that's got some confidence and a lot of fight in him and you've always got a shot. I think that's what we'll be this year. This year isn't about winning all the games. It's about building confidence and learning what we've got to do. But looking at that later schedule and it's not horrible. We've got the eagles and chiefs....that's scary, but then we've got the cardinals and cowboys at home...and it's the cowboys in December. When have they been scary in December? And we've got division games in there as well. I think we'll do ok. The more I look at it, the better I feel about it.
