Sunday 30 October 2005, 17 years ago today. 

I can't believe it has been 17 years since this game occurred.  It is at the top of my list along with the Steeler game in 96 as one of my favorites.

I had the opportunity to be at this game.  It was a beautiful day and a historic one for Steve Smith.  

I remember before the game Fred Smoot was talking a lot of trash. As we learned through the years, that's not a good thing to do to Agent 89. Plus, Minnesota had the party on the boat scandal which SS took advantage of.

This was when our team actually had a heartbeat.  I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a double face mask penalty.

Smitty destroyed Smoot and I believe we also destroyed Culpepper's knee that day. A game so well offensively that both Mangum and Colbert got TDs.

i was at that game. He ended Smoots career. Fred was never the same.

The rowboat celebration, of course Smoot getting roasted, the duo of Gamble and Lucas, Jordan Carstens stepping in for Kris Jenkins and balling out, damn that was a fun time to be a Panthers fan.

Gamble took Culpepper out, iirc.  That started a trend of players getting their knees blown out against us.  Cadillac Williams comes to mind.

Yep, I was there. He rowed the boat right in front of us. That whole game and the atmosphere was so amazing.
