It literally happened last week. Think about how many Cam Newton threads we have had post his departure

Well one was a franchise quarterback and former most valuable player the other is a running back. We've also been recycling quarterbacks at rapid pace since he last played well for us so do I really need to further explain to you the difference?

People wished Greg the best when he left too.  Lighten up a bit man.

Dr Evil Whatever GIF

Dude Frankw specifically used Cmacs race in a negative context.

When in fact his race has nothing to do with how good he is.

If he goes over 2k this year how many guys have done that 3 times? It can't be that many right?

Terrell Davis probably Payton, Faulk and Dickerson.

That's pretty good company

One took us to the Super Bowl and is arguably the best/most important player in this franchise’s history. The other is an elite RB that has been our feature player during one of the worst periods (about winning) of our franchise’s history. Huge difference.

I mean what do you think healthy peak Cam would have got us for a trade. It just shows you how much more important one player was vs the other for our franchise.

I think Foreman definitely fits what we are doing offensively better at the moment. CMC is much more suited to what the 49ers are doing.

It was a win-win for both teams.

I think for sure foreman is a better RB for Mccados "system", Im still very confused why he couldnt find a role for CMC......i said many times, play them both at the same time.

Unless a CB is on CMC, he would crave up any LB or SS in the league...like a free 5 yards...

IDK what it is with Huddlers and getting hung up on race. First it was Cam and now CMC.

Ya'll need to dial it down a notch.

McAdoo is just not a good OC. CMC had some good OC's here in the past that could take advantage of his skillsets(hell Brady was much better than McAdoo, for that matter).

He is with an OC that will use him properly. Our OL is set up for a brusing runner like Foreman, so it's a win-win. Especially considering the draft capital we gained.

All it is gonna take is CMC getting dinged up and all the butthurt about him leaving with disappear.

    • What's wrong with Damien Lewis? He played pretty well last year.
    • Official NFL Cuts Tracker Deadline for roster cuts is Tuesday, August 26th. At this moment (Friday, August 22nd) the only interesting names I see are... K Caden Davis (BUF) RB Ameer Abdullah (SF) WR Equanimeous St. Brown (SF) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (NO) LB Khaleke Hudson (TEN) Abdullah, St. Brown, Peoples-Jones I don't exactly think we should cut anybody for but it was just interesting seeing those names. Khaleke Hudson was on the Panthers' practice squad last year I believe and might have even gotten called up? And of course, Caden Davis just because of the question mark at kicker this season for the team.
    • I'll say 6/10. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole. For all the hype surrounding Sanders/Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
