But Allen played 4 years of college football. Yes he had another year of eligibility. It's foolish to assume that every QB will turn in to Josh Allen just because you want them to.

That's definitely not what I am saying.  I said he reminds of him coming out of school.  Josh Allen was an inaccurate strong armed, athletically gifted QB from a small school and had a lot to learn to become what he is.  I have no clue is Richardson can do that (probably no where to that level).  NFL teams are going to be drooling over him when he does the combine/pro day.  His schedule is about to get easier so it shouldn't be hard to show growth as a passer.  He looked decent against UGA where he was severely outmatched.  Should he stay one more year?  Probably. Can he get drafted in the first this year? It's still pretty open to me...

I mean that is worse to me.  He played the position for longer at the college level and was still that raw coming into the draft.  I don't think that hurts Richardson at all.  If anything it helps...

If we're talking second tier guys, I like Penix a bit more.  But McCall definitely looks interesting.  Won't lie or just poo on the suggestion.

Though...I've been tricked before with these type of guys so have some hesitation.  If he finishes the year at the current rate, he'll definitely benefit opting in on this draft.  Just unsure how scouts are looking at him, is he a legit R1 guy? Or is he that James Morgan/Hackenberg type?

He at least checks a few spots:

Size, Age, Arm, Ceiling, Agility.

Issues: Accuracy on the NFL throws outside of the screens, seams and slants.  Outs, curls, sideline passes seem erratic at times.  But no doubt he's been slaying overall in that system.  He's been efficient and has made some pretty passes.

Grayson Mccall's NFL ceiling is Chase Daniels... Grayson doesnt have the arm strength to be good in the pros. I mean his scouting report his pretty bad.... (He is expected to go in the 4-6 rounds)

  • His arm strength is decent but less than ideal; McCall lacks a little zip, and accuracy becomes an issue when he’s unable or unwilling to set his feet.
  • Sails throws to either sideline; receivers make him look good with acrobatic catches. Back-foot throws are not accurate. Sometimes trusts his arm too much, trying to stick passes late in the play or when off-balance.
  • Too often fails to give receivers a chance to make a play after the catch. High completion percentage padded by many quick screens.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
