Are you all in on a Panthers Playoff Push?

Could have said that in 2014 as well. I'm not saying we go 16-1 next year but mother fugers need to learn how to win. Burns Chinn brown dj, the most these guys have won is 5 fuging games. Go get it!!!

I like DJ as a person, but he's either criminally underused or defenses are just teeing off on him. We really need a top tier tight end to take pressure off of our receivers and help open up the passing game. Imagine a Hunter Henry type instead of Ian freakin' Thomas. He would demand safeties, corners, and linebackers to pay attention.

I'm just gonna be brutally honest here.

No. I'm not.

We're a bad team in a truly awful division. Winning this truly awful division doesn't change the reality that we're a bad team. Put any NFC South team in any other division and none of us are in playoff talks. None of us deserve to be. Whoever wins this awful division is just costing themselves significant draft assets and I could honestly see winning the division deluding Tepper into thinking he's got this all figured out now.

It would be a significant net negative for the future of the organization. Sorry to rain on the parade.

The year after 2014 was 2015, where we were __ that close to going undefeated. Our guys need to learn how to win and we are realistically only a few pieces away from being a 12-5 type team. Specifically speaking of safety, tight ends, and receiver.

That TE from ND is pretty amazing

That team that "had absolutely no business being there" won their first round matchup and lost to the NFC's representative in the Super Bowl that year. Not sure how that equates to having "absolutely no business being there."

are you referring to beating the Cardinals third string QB?

lol

With Sam at QB?

If You Say So Reaction GIF by Identity

I mean I like that Wilks is basically (and purposely) keeping the offense on the ground and also rolling Sam out of the pocket (since we know he stinks when he stands there) but I would be very surprised if the Panthers manage to run the table and get in, and even more surprised if Sam helped get it done.

If these 2 past games have shown anything, it's that perhaps to some other team out there, Sam may be backup-material after all.

(btw, he missed a sure-fire TD to  DJ in the endzone also)

Yeah, I don't have strong feelings either way. We aren't winning a Super Bowl, so I am just seeing what is up with each game.

If we win....

If we lose....

yeah...That's my feeling as well.

I still don't think we run the table but I'll watch just to see what happens.

You see, I have a problem with that.

We were never as bad as the beginning of the season suggested. I'm not saying we were world beaters, but Rhule and some of his cohorts just weren't putting players in the best position to succeed. I think that it's pretty obvious by looking at the turnaround. I also fully believe that we would have probably have at least two or three more wins  if Wilks had been the coach at the beginning of the year as opposed to Rhule.

Things could have been so different if Rhule hadn't driven is into a ditch. Perceptions would have been a lot different  as well.

    • The good news is that we are pretty uniquely well established to address all of our needs this season. We have $14m real cap space, and something like $40m in trade deadline cap space. Not sure exactly how that works out. But, we have the room to absorb any bad contracts. With recent rule changes regarding retention, that went into effect this season, we now have a huge advantage in the trade market.  On top of that, while we do have obvious needs, we also have a glut of talent in certain areas that we struggle to find ice time for. We are over-stocked on scrappy talented lil-guys, strong defensively sound 3rd liners and shutdown left shot dmen. Whether it's a package or separate deals, idk. But, one of each from Stank/Blake/Nads, Erob/Carrier/KK/Jank, and Walker/Nystrom; throw in some 1st round picks (and frankly any other prospects they want) and we should be able to come out with a 1b to pair with Bussi and either a 2c with size or a 2c and size.   TL/DR We got the money, you got the stuff?
    • I don’t  think 6’4 was ever considered small or undersized. Baby hands tho, yes that was his thing That’s an interesting idea, like an optical illusion? Sounds like you have personal experience with this!
    • in the 25' draft the Carolina Panthers had hired Brandt Tillis someone who actually understood how to build a successful team & build through the draft .  this team was yes mismanaged for years prior to Brandt Tillis joining the team in 25' & rarely done anything right in the draft outside occaionaly getting lucky on an UDFA such as Jalen Coker who's dad coincidentally happened to be a huge Carolina Panthers fan, hint hint  ...just saying
