That’s just a recycled article. I’m sure this thread will go on for pages but if you actually read the article it’s just refreshed content from earlier in the season.

The writer also contradicts their content multiple times. Not giving this the time of day ….. especially when the writer uses CJ Stroud and elite in the same sentence …

Pretty much.

Much ado about nothing here.

*leaves pointless thread*

I know I was just listing QBs that Tepper wanted not that he had an actual chance of getting them. So his choice of QB hasn’t been bad.

And Tepper thought Rhule was a good idea, which cancels out pretty much everything else. Dude should just get out of the way.

I hope you are right, because I feel we are picking him. I don’t want him, but if he’s the selection, I’ll root for him to become elite and prove me wrong. If he’s the selection on draft night, I’ll come in here hopeful and excited. I really think he is going to be the pick if he’s there.

I see him as a Richardson top with not as high of a ceiling, but a higher floor. He isn’t as fast or big as AR, but is further along as a passer. He had a decent year last year. Both players were on rosters very outmatched in SEC competition with Levis’s OL being a complete disaster. Both OC’s didn’t know how to use them either.

You believe that?

Yes. It has been reported several times that Tepper lets his hires run things pretty much as they see fit. We've also seen it in action on draft night. Furthermore, no one here has presented any credible evidence that Tepper meddles. None! That's not to say that he won't ever do it, especially after the miserable  Rhule era, but so far there is no indication that he's a meddlesome owner. If Tepper was some meddling owner as has been incorrectly stated here, we would have Justin Fields, point blank and period!

Got a wild feeling that Levis is this year's Herbert where a ton of people are like "why is everyone so high on him, he's just big with a strong arm", but it turns out that his college coaches were completely misusing him the entire time and he can actually ball in the pros because he has the mental portion of things down.

I'm wondering this, too.  I like AR because his ceiling is sky-high, but scouts all seem VERY high on Levis still. I suppose the question is if Levis is more Herbert or Z Wilson.

Yeah this was printed a while back. Tepper may also be in on Florida State pitcher-turned-quarterback Chris Weinke

I don't like Levis, at fugin' all rn.

But if the coach and GM (not just Tep) likes him as well I wouldn't care. Dude has a cannon, dude can flick it, has more than functional mobility.

If he's the pick he's the pick. I'mma root for him all the same.

Well, if Tepper likes him then it seems clear the football people should avoid him.

The brain trust of the Panthers need to feel Teppers out by asking him which of the top rated players to avoid picking in the 1st rd., then go select that player because it would probably be the correct choice. 🙂

I'd rather have Richardson but that 53% completion percentage doesn't give me a lot of confidence, just like I like my quarterbacks to be able to beat Vanderbilt

Richardson certainly has all the tools but I am not sure if he will be as accurate as he needs to be to find success in the NFL.

However, a lot of people were asking the same question about Cam Newton when he was drafted and we know how great a draft pick he turned out to be.
