Wouldn't bet on that...

Also guessing you missed where Payton told Jay Glazer he had no interest in the Panthers.

There are a lot of terrible teams you can be a Debbie downer for and not worry about making a Super Bowl twice in 30 years..

Also, the Saints are wanting a 1st, probably more seeing as he has a ring, for the rights to Payton so that would need to be factored in as well if we were on his list, which we apparently aren't.

I say “if” I don’t think Payton on the list anyway because The Saints compensation would be ridiculous for us..

It's one of 32 NFL Head Coach opportunities. 

If the HC believes in themselves they won't care which one they get - they'll mold the franchise into their image.

      I think we need to draft offensive and defensive leaders in 2026. Picking around the middle of the pack, we should go with the best MLB in the draft. Get someone who can run the defense and hold his teammates accountable. Someone who can learn the defensive playbook quickly and have it built around them (and who knows if we will have the same DC next season). Then, grab a developmental QB in the second round. There are going to be good ones there and I agree that they need time to learn the NFL game, especially considering the whirlwind of coaching changes many of them see (or pursue) with the transfer portal. Maybe even specifically look for a QB that has spent their entire college career at one school (which might show how valuable they were to their own coach).  But if those two are in doubt, just grab O-line or Edge. That's the classic easy choice.

      I would be classified by Truthers as a Hater. But I will always say the best this to happen is for the kid to figure it out.  I was smiling while watching Cam’s reaction

      It's got to be Kooch at least until the deadline, then maybe management can FINALLY address the goalie position that through their stubbornness have wasted many good teams
