MNF: Bills vs. Bengals *game suspended* - prayers for Damar Hamlin

I suppose the issue is going to be, once he gets his breathing in order, how long was his brain deprived of oxygen.  Pray for a normal life moving forward I am scared for him and his family.

I will be pulling for Buffalo in the playoffs to get him a ring.

I see no new updates on Hamlin's condition, which I think is probably good news.

I think we will all breathe a little easier if and when we find out he is responsive and things appear normal. It is a scary situation, with nothing anybody can do but wait.

Just spoke with Damar Hamlin’s uncle. Damar was originally on 100% oxygen and is now down to 50%. Says the family is hanging in there. He thanked Bills fans, and Bengals fans and asked for continued prayers

so this is either being misreported or misinterpreted by the uncle (or both, most likely)

this doesn't really mean anything.

From Albert Breer...

The NFL has denied that the "five minutes" thing was ever suggested.

So?

Do you believe that?

I certainly don't.

I mean...I am no fan of Joe Buck but when he is actually going against what the NFL is saying, that there was a 5-minute nonsense...then I am tending to believe that there is smoke to this fire.

Damn if this is all true, Zac Taylor is the fuging man. Well either way he handled it well but if he's the one who initiated the not forcing the players to go back out there then major kudos to him.

This is not a vindication of the NFL in any way.  Actually makes Vincent out to be at best uninformed.

I would be fine if they came out and said they didn't act to change protocol immediately and so teams were told 5 minutes but never forced into it... but they will be changing rules about protocol in the future so there's no question on the 5 minute resumption again

Think what Skip Bayless said was bad?

Check this out.

1) it was a freak ACCIDENT. No one could have seen this coming. That collision happens very often. It's just part of the game.

2) I'm sure that Higgins is already feeling pretty bad about what happened and wouldn't be surprised if he's already feeling guilty....which he shouldn't be. Bart Scott is just running his mouth and he needs to stop it because poo like that only makes it worse, especially for people involved.

He's entitled to his opinion but it is just that, an opinion and not every opinion needs to be shared. most of the time what is needed in tense situations is to realize the negative effect/damage that your damage can have and just keep your opinion to yourself.

if your opinion isn't going to help towards a positive solution, you should probably keep your mouth shut.

    • He's right. Tepper ain't the one out there dropping balls, or missing blocks, or putting up having comically bad drafts. He's the one responsible for hiring the people that have kept our scouting department that has been one of the worst at evaluating college talent in the NFL.  He forced the transition to the 3-4 even though we've never fully committed to it and never been able to draft or sign the players to do it.  He's the one that signed used car salesman Fat Fhule that hadn't even won a game against a ranked opponent.  Then he signed a GM that was one of if not the worst GM in the history of the NFL, only to replace him with his assistant.  Frank Reich hired and fired in 9 games. Multiple potential hires for HC turning down interviews.  Changing QBs like underwear. Personal quest to trade for a sexual predator QB and would have if the contract didnt have to be 100% guaranteed.  Terrible contracts Rock Hill debacle  2023 trade up to 1 and him and his wife drafting BY  Worst defense in NFL history. Worst record in major league sports over the time frame of his ownership and the fans need to be patient and understanding of an 8 year and counting rebuild? There being any fans left is a goddamn miracle.
