More!

Smart man.  Our division is up for the taking and in a huge season of upheaval and turnover.  It is just begging for a team to get their poo together and run it up for the next decade, and I'd say we're in a prime position to do so.

But I'm NGL.  I don't know to feel about Jim this time around.  I was pounding the table for Harbaugh when he was at Stanford.  And he did amazing things while a HC in the league, buy there are just some things ilaicne he's been at Michigan that are a bit off-putting to me.  Idk why, I just feel a little less warm on him this time around.

But, I would be excited for the hire.  I think I just watched a interview with Delanie Walker a couple weeks ago and he said everyone loved Harbaugh in SF.  When they brought him up, his whole demeanor changed...  kind of like the same type of "I'd run through a wall for that guy" thing that Wilks has, but only an offensive-minded version, which is exactly what I want for us.

Well thats the end of that he's staying at Michigan 100%

Perhaps, but I wouldn't bet the house on it if I were you. He's hedging, maybe for money or power or something. He's got to know that he can only jerk the chains of these NFL owners for so long before they just blackball him due to his schtick.

This team does have a lot going for it to tempt a coach like Harbaugh. There’s talent on both sides of the ball and our GM has done a good job. The missing piece is at quarterback and Harbaugh would get his pick of who to go for, be it a veteran or someone from the draft. Another plus is our division and it being open for the taking.

It will be interesting to see if he bites and makes an NFL return, but it does make me wonder whether this could be a similar situation to what the Raiders went through. Their interim head coach got them playing well and loved him by all accounts, even made the playoffs. A lot of times that would have sealed that coach the job, instead they went for the flashy hire and it’s back fired. Could the same happen here after the players have come together under Wilks?

The main difference is Harbaugh has had head coaching success whereas McDaniels had none, but still, it does make me wonder what the best option for next season is.

Jim using Tepper as leverage to get a stupid amount of money from Denver is his best play here

Which is probably what’s happening here

Broncos absolutely massive Jim Harbaugh offer revealed

Didn't see it elsewhere in this thread. Maybe in the other

    • Yea when teams see a gun charge they rightly pause but this seems like a big misunderstanding.
    • Sorry man you lost me at "Teppers have evolved as owners". Limped into playoffs at 8-9 not even above .500 Tepper is trash as an owner bro and that's not even a discussion at this point. 37-83 w/l ratio. Nuff said.... Morgan tho, he's cooking and it ain't cuz of Teppers leadership
    • After listening to Morgan's presser twice, I came away with some key beliefs. First of all, I don't think he's a bullshitter. What you see is what you get. When he says something, he means it.  The Teppers really have evolved as owners. Morgan has mentioned how they're easy to work with--a pleasure to work with a few times now. There seems to be a good relationship between all of them (and include Dave Canales on that). We'll see if it lasts. Yes, no one wanted to come to Carolina with the previous management, but that seems to have changed. The team signed arguably the top Edge, LB and OT on the market, two of them on pretty good deals and one on what I'll say is "not a bad one." And, credit Sunshine Dave "Flowers and Cotton Candy" Canales for helping to change the culture. Morgan mentioned getting guys--and I'm paraphrasing--that are not only great football players but great people. Don't look for us to be acquiring any James Pearce types anytime soon, just saying. We'll see if that holds true in the future. Dan Morgan really has set up the Panthers to take the BPA/BAP. He mentioned it at least a couple of times, and he doesn't seem pressured to pinpoint a particular position. He just wants quality players that will help the team. This is how it's going to be (to your joy or dismay, probably for as long as he's here), and personally I love it. Many of us know how Morgan was when he played: aggressive! That's what he's going to be when making acquisitions. He explicitly said it, and emphasized it. All avenues are open (think FA, waivers...the draft)! Personally, as long as it's controlled aggression and not reckless aggression, I love it.  On KP: "Mobility is big in this league."  He basically says if another QB is the BPA while drafting--we're going by our board, people--we're going to add them.        ...
