Growing up in Asheville during the time he did makes me think he might have been a Panther fan. This might conceivably be his dream job.

Between going to UNC and growing up in Asheville, he's definitely got history and connections here.

He was even working as a coaching assistant at Boston College while Luke Kuechly was playing there, so there's a pretty decent chance they're acquainted.

I just put an asterisk on tonight's win because the Lions were playing with house money.  They played loose and threw the kitchen sink at the Packers including the very popular "bubble screen/lateral."

That’s all good  and all of that is certainly ‘feel good’.  

…but it’s not  business and not dealing with Tepper   He has a pretty sweet thing going on in Detroit also   He might actually be happy there 

I like him but he better come with an proven DC by his side and someone as an assistant with experience  so the franchise doesn’t have its 3rd consecutive, neophyte as a head coach

these are all HCs who are in the playoffs this year and are first time head coaches for their respective franchise. It’s possible I missed someone else as well.

 

mcVay also another head coach with no prior head coach experience. It’s just not a rubric for success anymore.
