So which QB do we think will be available at #9?

I seriously believe by draft time they will have talked Levis ahead of one or both of Stroud and Young.

Young- Has the production, savvy and game knowledge.  I was bigger than this dude at 13 years old.  He will not hold up in the NFL.

Stroud- Has production, smokes lesser competition, but turns average in big games (semi-final withstanding)

Levis- Has the size, arm, experience, but his production is lacking.

Richardson- Has the size, arm strength, and a few highlights on his resume.  Complete projection pick

He is an elite runner.  Special.  And as a 2nd year player, in his 2nd offense already with bad weapons.....Fields had more passing TDs than the Carolina Panthers.

Passing on Fields was an obvious mistake.  Always has been.  Nothing wrong with referencing it.  It was the right call and we blew it.  And it was the right call frankly regardless of what happens with Fields.

if you need a QB....you don't draft a DB in the top 10.  Reason #4 at least of why we should get rid of our GM too.   Can't stay healthy is Jaycee Horn.  16 games in 2 years.  He has yet to log a season worth of games as he goes into year 3.

So much so, reportedly Tepper wanted Fields and Rhule and co. wanted something more used and broken.

My god this message board would be eating fields alive right now if he had thrown for less than 1200 yards in his second season and never played a full season. Which is what has happened in Chicago this year.

Nah, I don't think we would be eating Fields alive if he was in his 2nd offense in 2 years and....

started 15 games....while putting up the 2nd most rushing yards all time by a QB and accounted for 25 TDs.  That would equate to the most entertaining offensive football we have seen in a near half decade from the QB spot.  And we are a fanbase starved for it.

and Fields would have had CMC, DJ Moore, etc here. Chicago had nada.  Fields is forced into one man show football.  Fields was the 2nd best QB in the draft and fell into our laps.  It was a mistake.   Simple as that.  Defending our front office botching stuff does no good.   And it was a mistake regardless of what Fields turns out to be.  That's the pick you want your team to make when they find themselves in the spot we did.

Neither has Fields.... we would be saying this exact same thing if Fields was on our roster.... Fields wasnt a freak injury like Horn's injury. Fields has been injured bc he isnt built for the type of football he is trying to play.

Im not a huge Fields guy, but he threw for 2200 yards, which is more than 1200, and had a 60% completion percentage, with 17 TDs and 11 picks.  Not terrible, especially when you factor in his 1100 rushing yards and 8 TDs.

Possibly because at the Combine and Pro Days they don't have a pass rush and DBs.  Levis has an arm and is fairly accurate, his problem taht I saw is he can't read defenses well.  That doesn't show up in the offseason workouts leading up tot the draft, only on film.

Fields has played in 27 games and been available for more.

Horn has been available for 16 games and played in 16

Those aren't the same.  A season is 17 games.  Horn has yet to suit up for a season worth of games over 2 years.

and it's an old wives' tale that a QB shouldn't and can't run.   He is young with horrible weapons.  If you put him in a good position, he could run less.  It's not a Fields problem.  That's a Chicago problem.  And the more time he gets the smarter he will run.   But running isn't a problem.  It's a positive.

So Fields has missed almost 25% of games each season?  Why are you defending a QB missing that many games? Why do you think he is missing that many games? Bc he isnt capable of taking the hits of the NFL playing the football he is playing. The Bears know that Justin Fields isnt a capable passer so they dial up QB option runs... and run him into the ground. Non one said a QB shouldnt run... a fragile QB shouldnt run.

Fields has experienced SIX different injuries since entering the NFL. Hip, Both shoulders, Knee, Ribs and a Concussion.

Another bonus note about Fields, he has had 6 opportunities to have a game ending drive 5 of them ended in a Fields turnover.

I dont get the defense of this guy by this board. Even the Bears messsage board is considering a QB #1 overall and shopping Fields... If he was a Panther majority of this board would be talking about pulling the plug on him.

This will all depend on how the offseason and draft shakes out, but if Fitt sticks as GM, I could see Seattle being a trade up partner for Carolina if the draft plays out like:

1. Chicago trades back with Indy - QB

2. Houston - QB

3. Arizona - Anderson/Carter

4. Chicago  - Carter/Anderson

5. Seattle - trade back with CAR for whichever QB is left

I cant go back and correct that, but my original statement should have been 2200* Thanks for the correction, I must have fat fingered that.

You gotta factor in the 20+ fumbles too.  And the 14 losses.

Frankly, with Rhule as coach, I doubt Fields develops into anything here.  We signed Darnold before the draft, so it would have been awhile before he had his chance.  He's been so inconsistent I'm sure there would be a revolving door with Darnold and PJ.

His stats would never transfer here.

That's what I'm afraid of, we don't have the draft capital to trade up and if we do, it better be for a can't miss prospect.

If we want one of these 3 QBs we will almost certainly trade up if we can or perhaps gamble on Richardson.  Hard to tell the appetite for Tepper, Fitty and the new coach to wait on AR15s development or if they even like him at all.

It feels like Tepper is definitely willing if not demanding the QB position be addressed no matter the cost so I expect something aggressive and it will be very costly in terms of picks.

My thinking today is that Young, Stroud, and Levis will all be gone within in the top 7 picks. The Texans and Colts will definitely take QBs and I think the Raiders could as well (although McD may prefer reuniting with Brady or Jimmy G as he may want a vet QB given he could be on the hot seat). Even if it's just Houston and Indy, I think there will be teams that trade up to get their guy - Carolina may be one of them.

1. Chicago - I think prime candidate to trade back with Indy - Indy jumping Houston to get their preferred QB

2. Houston - Could see them taking any of Young/Stroud/Levis (NFL folks seem to really like Levis)

3. Arizona - potential trade back candidate

4. Indy - see Chicago

5. Seattle - think they'll hope that one of Carter or Anderson is still there

6. Detroit - think they'll stick with Goff, could see them being a prime trade back candidate if one of Young/Stroud/Levis sis till on the board

7. Oakland - see above

8. Atlanta - could go QB, could go BPA

Thanks for adding this midst the Fields chatter.

Bears & Cardinals will have a big sell sign sticking over their slots this offseason.   They are really the only for sure no-chance at drafting a QB teams here.

Wildcards are ATL, DET, SEA, & LVR -- I don't think you can rule any of them out of taking a QB, but also, they don't absolutely NEED to if they're not in love with these guys.

    • Try to reduce the amount of soda that you consume on a daily basis. Soda is packed with sugars and carbohydrates, which can cause cause a poor reaction with your skin. Instead of soda, try drinking water or flavored water as an alternative to your meals during the day or night. Try using some kind of mist moisturizer instead of just using plain water. Plain water only hydrates your skin for a short while and will end up drying out your skin. Moisturizing your skin with a mist form of it is a lot easier to apply then a topical cream. Finding the right product for your skin type is a very important factor in making your skin look nice and healthy. If you have dry skin, you would not want to use products that were designed for oily skin. Make sure you research what the products you use are for, and your skin will thank you for it. After you take a shower or a bath or just wash your face, pat dry with a soft towel. Vigorous rubbing will damage the skin. In addition, leaving a little bit of water on your skin will help keep it from drying out and make it easier to apply an after-shower moisturizer. • I was thinking Adoree too. I don't want to fixate on one specific guy, just go get the best cost option for this year and roll with it
    • Why did you say injury prone?
