If the Ravens are moving on from Lamar should we knock on that door?

No, it’s stupid. We are a 5 win team in cap hell. Our blueprint to success is through the draft, no bloated QB contracts. Not sure why this is so hard to accept, this isn’t the Bucs or Rams…the team is not a QB away from a SB for financial and personnel reasons.

He'll no whoever gives Lamar a guaranteed contract is gonna regret it quick...

Besides Cam was a much better passer.... Lamar averages like 2500 yards passing a season.

he is a favorite for the mvp.  His second.  Yeah I am sure the ravens regret the contract

If the Ravens are moving on from him, which they are not, why would we want him?

The Jets moved on from Darnold for a reason

The Browns moved on from Baker for a reason

The Colts moved on from Reich for a reason

This thinking that we know something everyone else doesn't about cast off projects, got us into this mess

Lamar Jackson gossip brings back so many memories. Was literally my worst time on the huddle. Dudes were calling me Lamar Jackson in every thread. Funny how I got crushed simply because I wanted a QB who just wins games.

The funniest moment was me debating some poster that thought Derek Carr was a better QB than Lamar Jackson. That's when I knew stop taking the huddle seriously. Ever since then I been laughing my ass off as some of you people.

You and I went back and forth quite a bit. It all came down to the asking rumored asking price, which I still think was a bit high. In the end though, I'm not sure Lamar would even be standing right now as bad as we've been. He also would be a terrible fit with Reich. I didn't think Carr was better than LJ, just more could be done to build around him if the contract price was good, which it clearly wasn't. Though the better play than LJ or Carr would have been to sell out for Stroud.

he is a mvp and in play for another one this season, in theory he was much cheaper draft capital wise then our current midget qb.  Hindsight is 20 20 for sure but holy hell Jackson is on a completely different stratosphere then young as far as ability

2 firsts for jackson pairing him with moore and another 2nd round pick is interesting to think about.

Lol that sounds like the Huddle.

I remember wayyyyy back in 2009, you would have half the forum defending Jake Delhomme as a starter even after the 2009 opener against the Eagles and Cardinals meltdown.

The Huddle loves mediocre at best QBs. Huddle wants Underdog, not Superman.
