I heard Tepper's girlfriend didn't like the shoes he wore to the interview. I just hope they remember Wilks is the reason we are screwed in this year's draft w/ nothing to show for it.

These interviews go both ways.  Any potential candidate has to believe they'll succeed with Tepper and Fitterer as part of the equation.   That might be a hard sell for some, especially considering Tepper's track record so far.

there’s no way you can look at phillys offense in a playoff game and say “this isn’t for us”

even if the interview “didn’t go well,” that’s one of those things that makes you sit back and say “let’s give this a second shot”

steichen likely just didn’t express enough enthusiasm for being here and they aren’t convinced they can get it done so they’re getting ahead of the embarrassment

After watching the Tepper poo show for the past 4 years, part of me can't help but wonder if the other owners didn't just push his buying of a franchise through so they could never have to worry about Carolina again.

With outlets like the Athletic, the Ringer, and ESPN saying we're the best opening, and claiming anonymous execs are saying we are the clear top landing spot for a good coach, and we're still not getting the mutual interest for the top tier candidates, it's telling me that something is just really not in alignment here.  

That being said, nothing is finalized and its all rumors as this point but the collective adjustment of expectations happening right now is deflating to say the least.

We have no idea what the reps of the team are saying in these interviews or what they are requiring of the new HC.

The fact David and Nicole are directly involved makes me wonder if we may just be giving terrible interviews...well that and the remaining list of candidates.

The selection of candidates left standing is somewhat worrisome, especially considering those available to choose from only a few weeks ago.  

It does bring into question the Panthers vetting process.

Huge assumptions there. More likely is that with him  being an OC for a team in the playoffs and having no experience interviewing as a head coach, he likely wasn't as prepared as others candidates who have done this before.  Some potential head coaches have books, charts and elaborate presentations based on doing the job and interviewing previously. Steichen will have little of that prepared this time around. If he doesn't go anywhere this time he will in the future for sure.

Huge assumption if you weren't in the interviews and heard what was being said. We have done a great job interviewing everyone and now are in the second round. Unlike the last time with Rhule it seems like we are doing a good job being thorough.
