I'm in Zion National Park with limited signal.

Can you sum it up? It will be 12 hrs before I can listen.

Thank you sir

He said exactly what he plans to do and it is everything his critics said he wouldn't or couldn't do. Tepper also told him to get the best staff money can buy. I'm starting to get a little hope that things will trend upward.

Seems to me the Wilks minority is actually the majority as I read various sources outside of the huddle. Seems the folks supporting Reich are actually in the minority this morning. Wilks did a great job not just average based on most knowledgeable folks and the players. After what Wilks did to restore Panther pride and our keep pounding mantra he surely deserved the job. But as a Panther fan I will support Reich like I have all other HCs we have hired but the angst is justified with Tepper once again pissing off fans and players.. Reich will be expected to win right away as folks think if Wilks went 6-6 with the crap he had, that he would have produced a winning record next year. So anything less than the playoffs for Reich will be a much bigger issue at least among fans. He already is starting one down....

The fans on the Huddle are more knowledgeable about the Panthers than your typical social media poster. I’m not surprised those with more knowledge can accept Reich is the better hire. I’m also not surprised those just reading social media headlines and the lawyer’s tweets are outraged thinking a social injustice has occurred.

From the article...

When Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich stepped up to the podium after his team’s 27-17 win over the New England Patriots on Saturday, he demanded $20 from a reporter.

The reporter had bet $20 among media members that the Colts wouldn’t score on a Philly Special...the Colts ran the Philly Special for their opening touchdown in Week 15.

there’s your giant brass balls

Facebook and Twitter mobs generally are a poor reflection of the masses on any subject though.

wanting Wilks is a fine take.  Lot of the social media stuff are casual fans or frankly not actual Panther fans.  Not all. A decent chunk.

Most hardcore fans that fill the seats year in and year out…..aren’t likely to poll heavily toward Wilks being the guy we should hire.   Probably a more even split or leans offensive IMO.

If we get fangio and Brian Johnson, il start thinking Tepper can learn from mistakes after all

It seems he is trying to at least.  What he is doing makes a lot of sense.  It appears he is trying to correct his mistake of trying to build a foundation and cultural with a college coach and rookie staff that wasn't capable of doing so. This time he is getting a experienced nfl coach to do that and it's a better start than the other bs experiment.  This is what he should have done the second the ink dried on his purchase of the franchise.  I'll take that for now.

People these days do love to get involved in online outrage, whether it actually means anything or has any relation to them or not.

    • Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is a quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.
    • Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
