The NFL is Rigged

serious question

how would you tell the difference between outdated old men genuinely doing a shitty job and ‘conspiring/meeting together ‘rigging’ the game with zero proof?

all fans think then and their team is special and if luck doesn’t go their way things are rigged. It’s not unique

in reality, the concept of primarily old men running around trying to spot things, in a day an age where we have laser and computer chips, is more likely and logically the culprit

That seems convenient. Just sayin'.

If its incompetence it would be more 50/50 you would assume.   Not clearly all calls going to one team.

If the NFL was rigged, Steelers and Cowboys wouldn't have the Super Bowl drought that they do.  They are the two most popular franchises and would get the highest ratings.

You can only do so much to overcome the Cowboys' choking. When you have Dak spraying the ball around like a kid at the carnival, what can you really do?

I mean, the Steelers do have six rings.

The Cowboys SB is during the season.

They are the most talked about team in the NFL. That's gets the NFL all the ratings they need. They can live without them in the SB.

Lols the two teams with some of the highest number Superbowl rings.

They gave their cash cows the glory first. Now it's time to build the brang bigger. More billions and trillions to go around.

Uh, ok.  They can live without Mahomes, Burrow, Hurts, Brady etc...  They make money hand over fist regardless.  But a cowboys eagles NFC championship game followed by a steelers cowgals SB would be a ratings bonanza.  That is what they would want if they were going to rig things.

I don’t think the NFL is rigged per se but they sure as hell have favorites, situations, and match ups they prefer.

I fully believe that Super Bowl 50 was swayed in a way that would not let Manning go 1-3 in super bowls.

If you need to test your anger management just go back and watch that game.  I did recently and it is sickening

    • Yeah, he is such a hot and cold QB. Even the highs are typically fairly low(speaking specifically 2024 end of season run). It's easy to point to his 400+ yard outing and being the franchise record holder for single game passing but when you look at the 26 of 40 career starts of less than 200 yards passing, it's hard to have a very rosy view of the body of work. If we were staring down a significantly better 2025 season in terms of actual performances, it would be a different story. That would show some progression is happening, albeit maybe at a glacial pace. But, that isn't what has happened. He's been modestly better than his first two seasons in most categories. Does this show improvement? Arguably so but the pace is going to lead us into a very, very difficult position even if it continues at a linear scale. You will end up in the 2026 or 2027 offseason having to make a long term decision on a MAYBE bottom 10-12 QB. And that is assuming continual progression and no regression or plateau.  I just don't think there is enough to invest in this situation long term. The bones of Bryce the QB aren't solid enough to build a franchise caliber QB, IMO.
    • That's an 80% completion percentage, 21 yards per completion, and 17 yards per attempt.
    • I don't know. Still think they could upgrade the LB room. Standup and Edge types.
