Levis just got the generic "great arm, has the size" blah blah

This was my biggest take away from the Levis video. He was all giddy about Stroud and Young but for Levis all he could do was describe his physique.

Could just be fluff but not really excited about the Levis fluff. He did obviously like the Stroud film way more, Levis just got the generic "great arm, has the size" blah blah

He opened up in the Levi’s video stating it’s hard to compare because of the system and the talent difference they at KY against the other 2.

levis has the shortest end of the stick for all of the top prospects this year. Playing with multiple injuries, OC that’s was forcing complex a pro system that even the HC had to shut down, worst offensive line in the nation and no talent around him.

the one thing that stands out is that Levis didn’t face plant under those circumstances and he kept going out there and playing the best that he could.

In both young and stroud’s videos he talks about the offensive systems they are in and how great they are…. KY had a very shitty system with the talent they had.

levis was not setup to succeed at KY his SR year.

Takeaways

  • Young's processing and decision making is elite. Composure under pressure and ability to scramble out of it is very encouraging in light of the size concerns
  • Thinks the gap between Young and Stroud is not as wide as advertised. Highest floor of the top QBs
  • Levis has an elite cannon that keeps defenses honest. Reads well but questionable decision making.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
