So we didn't want him or he didn't want us?  Let's just hope he is enamored with a qb similar to Hurts in AR.

He'd probably rather stay in the organization that is proven successful with the guys he already knows.

I do think this OC hire has likely been delayed because we were waiting on someone who was on a SB staff. Only thing that really makes sense IMO. If it was Johnson, we're almost certainly going to be off to chase whatever option B is.

Bieniemy was on a SB staff. Rumor is that all of those matchups and wide-open receivers were schemed by Bieniemy, and not Reid.

Isray had to give him that many years just to get him to agree to take the job.

I tried to watch his introductory press conference but I just couldn't look at Isray's face. The man looks pickled.

Good on Steichen’s agent, given Irsay’s impulsiveness.

Or Thomas Brown

Appears TB is the top choice if we can get him. Cooter may be a fallback option. Beyond that, we certainly have enough offensive experience on staff if we can’t land either of these guys. And Parks Frazier, who was just hired, could be a play caller in waiting.

    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
    • Dude you are smart fan. 3 on 0 breakaways won’t matter who is in net. You gotta be better on this one.
    • Raiders are gonna get a good one. Rather have Mendoza fly out and play for the Panthers tomorrow than Bryce
