There is no Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Luck, or Joe Burrow in this draft.  There might be next year. Makes no sense to mortgage our future for Stroud or Young. If one of those two can fall a little, move up. But in no way pay the ransom that Chicago will demand for their pick.

No one is trading out of their pick for Caleb Williams or Drake Maye if they are the next big prospect. They’re drafting those qbs. And we’re not drafting 1 or 2. It’s time. This is the perfect opportunity with the bears having the #1 pick and not needing a qb or Arizona at #3.

There is absolutely no way he could possibly know this.

Even a few days ago Matt Miller was saying he get the sense the Panthers were "all in" on Richardson.

I don't really believe it, but it's not like isn't contradicting reports.

Just give me Hendon Hooker. Local kid with a good head on his shoulders. Age and injury don’t concern me since we won’t have to mortgage our future to draft him.

The problem with Hooker is he isnt worth 1st or maybe even a second. But how do you know what other teams think? Who says he doesnt get snatched up before he gets to whatever pick you deem his value is?

I dont believe either as we are literally one day out of the combine and still have in house interviews etc and more importantly there is no fuging way anyone in the front office A) has a clue of the direction yet and even more importantly B) is telling Joe Person, Leaky, Verge fuging anyone what their plans potentially are.

People need to step back and use some logic.  If anyone told Person that it was clearly to plant a story but I dont even believe that happened

So if I get this right, Person is saying someone might take AR higher because of an outstanding performance at the Combine.  Or, maybe they wont take him higher...

That is great journalism

I think the Huddle is his inside source.

Source?  Not calling you out, just curious if it is anything recent.  I wouldn't mind Levis if that is who our staff likes.

Naw I don’t have sources man…I just think it is very possible.  He definitely has some moldable traits.  He can probably start sooner than AR as well.  He worries me but getting all the way to #1 is too expensive if it is even possible.  I don’t like 3 first for CJ even if he is my #1 guy.  That just hasn’t worked out in the past IMO.

Personally, I favor Stroud. But if this staff sees Levis as the future, I'm in.

exactly my point.  I mean, I don't think the Mona Lisa was a good choice for Da Vinci--I would have told him, "Bulldogs playing Poker" is your best bet.

My money is on it being Levis right now. It think they try to trade with the Cardinals if possible and let someone else get Young and Stroud.  Just a feeling I have based on nothing but my itching left testicle.

Levis fits the Reich mold:

Chargers- Rivers = Big Family

Eagles- Wentz = Big Injuries

Eagles- Foles = Big Dong

Colts- Ryan = Big dry cleaning bill

Panthers- Levis = Big Mayo Arm

I take it you are not a Levis fan?  I've watched at most 5 live plays of a KY game. Couldn't tell you a thing about him.

The difference between he and Stroud is not a wide as you think as far as the tape goes. But I think their pro days might have a sway one way or the other. Don't get caught up in the Underwear Olympics hype. The difference has to outweigh the cost to acquire as well. If they view it a push they may wait for someone else to pay top dollar for the first choice before swooping in to get the guy left.
