Like the dude is trying to catch a football with tennis rackets. Just awful.

Patches O’Houlihan uses a more colorful phrase, something about a doorknob but, I get your drift.

I'd gladly take him or one of the other 30 viable RBs that are available in FA at a reasonable price.

You  can't teach 6'1 236 lbs. So if you want to compare Foreman, who has shown the past two seasons to be so, so undervalued, you'd be making a mistake. He may not be "elite" in the sense we usually think of, but he does have elite physical measurements and plays every bit of his size. He was a massive part of what made the Panthers even mildly successful under Wilks last season. Don't underestimate how his power impacted the rest of the offense.

You saying he's like 30 others is like saying Derrick Henry is "JAG". Big backs just hit different.

I'm saying that the production he provides is not so different from the other, many FA RBs this offseason that I would overpay for him when I could get 90-95% of his production for a fraction of the price.

Dude balled out for us last year and there isn't a lot of wear on his tires so I am for bringing him back, but not at a premium.

No more big RB Contracts ever again.

Ever.

Obviously I'm against over paying. However there is production you get from a big back like Foreman that you can't quantify other than look at the numbers of the other RB's on the roster (I'd think). So if he can be had for a reasonable price, which he should because of the number of FA backs, bringing him back is a no brainer. He will be doubly important for an offense that will be young at QB and on the outside.

I'd love to bring him back and sign/draft another shiftier guy with upside.

Agreed. Chuba might have the worst hands of any NFL skill position player I've ever seen. Like the dude is trying to catch a football with tennis rackets. Just awful.

Actually made me think of Cutthroat Kitchen when chefs would end up with some strange implement duct taped to their hands while trying to cook.

I do have visions of Anthony Richardson and D'Onta Foreman running an option from the 5 yard line. If we could somehow get DJ Chark and Darnell Washington (UGA), we'd have the best size for a spread power running game in the NFL.

But I'd rather have Stroud.

I also think you can take the Kansas State running back late on Day 3. Forgot his name. Keaton Mitchell out of ECU would also be a decent option. Both are Sproles like but quite a bit taller. Sort of remind me of Austin Ekeler.

Regardless of who our quarterback is, I don't really care to see them running a lot of option.

I'd like to overhaul the RB room. Chuba and Foreman were fine last year but nothing special. I'd go with Jamaal Williams and draft a shiftier/speed/pass catching back somewhere in round 3-5.

I need 5 year break from overpaying RBs

Williams, Stewart and now CMC….

We should be looking into trading for Ekeler, he just got permission from the Chargers to seek a trade.
