The only other option is to trade back up into the 1st round and target one of the WRs there to be our #1, but it's risky to count on finding a trade partner, and it's expensive draft capital wise.

At this point, we could.  It may be worth it.

They put us in position to at least be solid, which is a major step up from previous years.

At the very least, it brings us to a good foundation from which we can build a potential big winner.

Not quite yet IMHO. We are definitely a step down without DJ so let’s see.

End of the day, pick #1 is all that matter TBH. If the rookie has it, we’ll be fine. If he doesn’t then we are who we’ve been lately.

Or just trade a 3rd for Nuk who is a true #1 WR problem solved.

You're willing to trade another future 1st to move up on a WR that may or may not be a #1?

I am not against trading for Nuk.

Trading back up into the 1st would be a last resort if we fail in free agency. I wouldn't trade a future first to move back up into the first. We have other assets.

I used to post a lot more often here but I got truck driving job in 2020 and then had a lot less time. I used to work only half days and before that unemployed and before that 4 days a week.

No--I was only kidding--hiding the fact that I have been on here all week--like I have no life, wife, or strife.

At the end of the day, the question to ask is are we better than last year.

Won't know that for sure until the game start being played, but for now I'd say we have a good chance of it being "yes".

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
