Two things confirmed for me:

1) Bryce Young is a great passer of the football

2) His receivers were pretty trash this year

Burton is garbage. Even Gibbs, as talented as he is, looked to bust his nose on a pass right through his hands.

Glad to see somebody eyes working properly in here

Pretty low key Pro Day, enjoyed how Bryce managed the calls and his receivers the whole day.

Basically perfect Mid and Short range

Didnt connect with Burton on 2-3 deep balls but 2 should have been caught and the third was a really nice ball imo.

Hit the net on the roof on what would have been the most interesting throw of the day.

Thought he had nice velocity on most his throws and the did a lot to simulate defenders in his face, I really enjoyed a number of beautiful throws he made about 15-20 yards deep toward the sideline.

Definitely no real fireworks and the deep balls will be debated (thought they showed what they needed to) but overall it was a low key businessman like affair.

Did some under center stuff, PA stuff, Shotgun, etc, felt like a checklist.

Accurate breakdown. Good stuff

Psssh

while you complain that Young didn’t throw a ball 10 inches shorter 50+ yards downfield.

Burton dropped the first one right over his shoulder. Then looked like he gave up on his next couple deep balls bc he didn’t want it to happen again.

"Guys, guys ... Young had the WORST WRs in the history of organized football today, and don't GET me started on this past season for Bama. Had Young had better WRs, he would've broken every passing record in NCAA history! And his O-Line ... OMG ... straight traaaaash. MEANWHILE, guys ... guys, Stroud had like ... the best WRs we've ever seen since like the football became a thing at his pro-day, and during the season his O-Line and WRs were SO good they could've replaced like, any NFL O-Line and WR."

Never change, somepeopleonthehuddle. This place gives some QBs more excuses than .... well ... there is no comparison. The Huddle treats some of their QBs with kid gloves.

Stroud is the best QB in this class. I think Levis is second. Levis 2022 was horrid because his best receiver was a true freshman, he had a new offensive coordinator, and his line was garbage.

You didn’t watch him throw. Clearly.

The poster was misleading with his description of Bryce’s throws. A couple were outright drops and two others hit the roof. That equates to Bryce struggled with the deep ball?? lol no and do better

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
