Has Fitterer ever talked about CJ?

Seems like people for Young are being more aggressive with the justifications. Napoleon complex maybe?  Don’t know how many more times people can say no thank you nicely

How about this: how many Young advocates are 6’3” or thereabouts and how many are under 6’? I have a presumed outcome here.

I like Stroud and I'm 5'10" ¼ just like Bryce

That’s exactly what he’s doing, and if I’m not mistaken, he had little to do with that. In fact he has basically zero experience. And Rhule hired him. Tep clung on. Hmmm seems familiar. God help us if Fit has really any say in this. He needs to let the qualified football people decide. And I don’t mean Reich. Reich is the kind of guy that thinks faith similar to his, and the ‘amount’ of it is some sort of factor.

This guy 😂😆

To be clear I like both as individuals and their intangibles. I think both could have success with this staff. It's the extreme arguments in favor of one over the other that are making any rational discourse near impossible. For all the talk of pro Stroud fans I feel they are mostly reasonable and realistic aside from a few. The same cannot be said for the Bryce fans it's basically the opposite. There are a few reasonable folks but then many many more who want to knock CJ and ignore the fairly blatant flags with Young and his playing weight while comparing him to Michael Jordan Steph Curry Bruce Lee and whoever will be next on the list. Again. I'll accept either. But I think if we go BY Stroud will have a really good or great career with whichever team selects him and they will always be connected.

This was well said. It’s a tough decision for certain.

for me, QB is primarily mental. When I see who I consider top QBs of all time or even currently, what set them aside, is the mental aspect of the game.
They are usually not the fastest, the strongest, the tallest. The come in all shape & size but the common denominator is always mental processing & ability to rise to the moment most of the time.
i think bryce has that!

When I look at the smaller QBs in the NFL, I am not seeing a history of injuries that exceeds the larger QBs--the large QBs, the running QBs, etc.  get hurt too.  But Young is pretty slender for 5-10, so I dunno.  Can he protect himself in the pocket?  Yes, for the most part.  Can we protect him?  Yes.  If we have an offense that gets rid of the ball quickly, which is what Reich tries to do, then his size is not as important as we are making it out to be--yes, he could get hurt, but so could Stroud.  There is risk with either QB.

The only issue I see with that is the whole offense that gets the ball out fast comment. It’s true that how smaller QBs like Brees protect themselves, but that takes away one of Young’s best attributes in his ability to extend plays. Stroud actually fits that style of offense better, but a QB with Young’s size should be playing that style in the NFL. It’s a back and forth conversation because it’s a strong argument for both players.

Nah, dude. It's the opposite. Stroud lovers seem to simply want to gulp down the Young Haterade with impunity. But I just simply call people on their bullsh¡t. Young's red flag, if you want to call it that, is his size, pure and simple. That's pretty much it. He has been the better QB thus far, and I don't even think that's even provocative. If he were 3½ inches taller and 25 pounds heavier, there wouldn't even be a real discussion because he would be the consensus top pick.

You keep saying that people are knocking Stroud. Where are all these knocks on Stroud? People generally like Stroud. His Georgia game was excellent. He followed it up (albeit in underwear) looking as smooth a thrower as you'll ever want to see at the Combine--while Young observed--and his pro day. Just because people may mention that he had better receivers last season, or that he hasn't proven to be nearly as efficient when pressured, or that he is not as great off-script as Young doesn't mean that he won't end up being a better fit for us, or QB overall. Only their pro careers will determine that.

People are nitpicking--err, really picking Young's poor little bones ad nauseam based on injury projections, notwithstanding that he's been about as healthy as they come throughout his career.

You say you'll be happy with either, but it seems like a good amount of your posts are based on low-key dogging out Young supporters for overlooking his size and being in Stroud's "amen" corner simply because of his size (meaning, that he's not a Smurf like people seem to think Young is).

Well sounds like you're definitely firmly a believer. That's cool man. The major concern I have is Young's true playing weight. It clearly isn't 204. 190ish at best sounds likely and skipping the weigh in at his own pro day with all the questions about his frame is just weaksauce for a guy who could be the future first overall pick. And I'm just saying but when cringy folks like Ivory Panther who question how cerebral Stroud is are in your corner it's not cute. Check the people around you. Anywho enjoy the draft big guy!

    • Make sure to consume copious amounts of Vitamin A during the course of the day. Vitamin A is great for helping to reduce the inflammation and irritation that you may feel, which can cause dryness. Foods that have high sources of this vitamin include carrots, chicken, potatoes, spinach and sweet potatoes. Scheduling regular eye appointments is the best way to ensure good eye health and to catch any problems early. If you are an older adult, your eyes should be checked more often. You are at risk for eye problems such as glaucoma and cataracts as you get older. Monitoring them closely will allow your eyecare professional to catch any problems early. Every eight weeks, your makeup needs replacing. These can accumulate bacteria, just like your contact lenses can, and that's why you replace them every several months. After several months using the same makeup, you will be brushing bacteria all around your face and eyes. This causes damage to your eyes.
