Yeah, I understand. Deferring to a perceived authority that shares your initial opinion is what most people do.

Yes, and ignoring obvious deficiencies to re-inforce your own biases and opinion follows the norms as well.

Every time i watched Young play over the last couple of years i always thought, “Holy fug balls! How did he do that?” or “WTF just happened! Damn i wish we could get him.” yes his size is a bit of a concern, but his play making ability is generational.

When i watched Stroud play he was smooth an efficient. he always got the job done. hard to get mad at that, unless you’re rooting for the other team.

When i watched Richardson play i laughed my ass off and thought, “OMG this guy sucks the balls off a line of donkeys waiting at Krispy Kreme.” i couldn’t watch a full game of his he was so bad.

so there’s that.

Yeah, I wonder if Young can do that against NFL Defenses, and also think he'll basically cut out all under center play action plays and QB sneaks in the playbook. With Stroud I think you can adjust to any game plan a lot easier. I'm just hesitant of getting a small QB that almost has to play out of shotgun. AR I'm going to leave that up to coaches because who knows what he's showing in interviews and critical film study.

watch the combine-watch the pro day-then watch the tape.  The tape does not lie,

If we just watching the tape then Bryce Young should be the pick.

If we just watching the tape Bryce Young size shouldn't matter.

If we just watching the tape...

And where in my comment did I say, "we just watching the tape?"  Read carefully before you criticize a statement that was not made by anyone other than you so you could argue against it.

Ellis Williams did a pretty thorough analysis of Richardson looking at both the positives and the negatives. The final conclusion was that Richardson is very inconsistent and would be a hit or miss "rollercoaster" type pick.

His final take...

The No. 1 pick should be used on the most risk-averse prospect, not a best-case-scenario-proposition.

I see AR and the Cam vibes are all there. Us having Cam for so long and then seeing his "type" a "type" we as Panthers fans know you only get maybe now once again in thirteen years.

My bells are going all off on AR and that part of me just wants to take him and say f' that, I know what he needs, we know what NOT to do with heeeem, we'll give you a better line, better coaching, better receivers and game planning this time around, you can trust us...take our hand..

But STROUD though, out of the box, he offers pinpoint accuracy that not even a more polished than AR Cam possessed which was pretty damn good coming out of Auburn.

I have a feeling that in a very sneaky way this may become one of the better QB drafts in recent history. Only time will tell.

I am happy to see Ellis say that about the #1, proves he is intelligent.

If it were Just that, it would still be too big a gamble but there would be life after. It would not kill you. (edit: but DJ, and the other haul we gave up, kills you)

It is like Monty Hall showing you the three doors, you usually give up all your winnings and there is a jar of mustard behind the door.

Depending on where AR and Hooker land, I agree about this being a sneaky good class.  I think Stroud and Young are going to find success.  AR and Hooker will need a good staff around them to find it, but have some nice traits (especially AR).

I need to quit watching this dude highlights. The more I watch the more im thinking we should gamble on him at #1.

The coaching staff makes me think we can turn him into something special. From all reports this dude has a hard work ethic and is willing to learn. I don't know this will be a hard decision.
