Sorry gents.  Who are your 5 best players right now.  Please provide full name and position.  🙂

Not counting FAs:

Brin Burns (edge)

Taylor Moton (RT)

Derrick Brown (was DT in old scheme)

Ikem Ekwonu (LT) (was a rookie last year and was quite good given that)

5th feels like a huge tie between a lot of players, but if he hadn't been injured so much Jaycee Horn (CB) is maybe our best player overall. Jeremy Chinn Feels so versatile he's been misused (Lb/safety). Shaq Thompson(LB) is underrated or overrated depending on who you ask and what you feel about contracts lol. Frankie Luvu(LB) is just always involved. Bradley Bozeman (C) brings the line together.

We also have been fortunate to have very strong punting/kicking.

This is easy. No QB's should even be considered if we talking pure talent as a player so we can leave Tom Brady off the list and all the other QB's.

1. Lawrence Taylor- listen to former players talk about him. He legit put fear into the opposing team offense.

2. Barry Sanders- dominated the rb position despite being on one of the worst rosters of his era. Had he played longer he is probably the GOAT RB.

3. Jim Brown- they say this dude was a man amongst boys in his era. I will take their word for it.

4. Randy Moss- yes I have Randy Moss above Jerry Rice. This dude was a athletic freak and even when he took plays off he still dominated the competition. I don't think we will never see a guy with that skillset again. Moss was arguably the fastest player in the NFL during his prime.

5. Ray Lewis- If there was no Lawrence Taylor then Ray Lewis would be considered the GOAT defensive player. He was the leader and best player of one of the most dominate defenses in my era. Defense was so great ESPN gave them a 30 for 30. Ray was a beast.

We totally agree on #1…LT tops my list…

1.  Lawrence Taylor

2.  Jim Brown

3.  Jerry Rice

4.  Dick Butkus

5.  Peyton Manning

Very hard to omit…Deacon Jones, Deion Sanders

4. Miles Sanders - RB

5. Adam Thielin - WR

Honorable Mention to Icky Ekownu - LT, Taylor Moton RT, Jeremy Chinn - S, Shaq Thompson - LB, Frankie Luvu - LB, Bradley Bozeman -  C. Hopefully the QB we draft soon goes to the top of the list.

Are we talking all time Panthers?

1. Steve Smith

2. Luke Keuchly

3. Cam Newton

4. Julius Peppers

5. Kris Jenkins

HM: Dan Morgan, CMC, Jayce Horn, Chris Gamble

Hard to exclude Jonathan Stewart and Deangelo Williams. IMO they were both freakishly talented at their peak.Stewart is the perfect prototypical RB. D Will was the closest thing you’ve seen to Barry Sanders in 2008.
