This is one mans opinion and I feel sure there are others that say Bryce Young would be a better choice than C'J. Stroud but I have also seen numerous NFL Scouts saying they think Stroud would become the better NFL QB.

So it depends on whose opinion one likes, or wants to believe. Personally, I still would like to see the Panthers draft C.J. Stroud.

i will say that there shouldn't be any question of whether or not Stroud can perform like he did against GA every week. The only added element to his game was the running/playground style of play.

He showed us all that game that it was never really a question of "could he or couldn't he?" do it, it was a question of "will he or won't he?".

The skill was there, but until that game he never really had to. It was a choice for him all along. It's an added dimension of his already stellar game that he can and will incorporate if needed or called for.

For Young, it's a key part his style of play that he relies on.

Forced to choose, i'd rather have a guy who didn't have to rely on being uber-mobile to play his game.

Bingo!!! Well stated!!

Yeah

could've been the coaching staff didn’t want CJ running either

if he went down, so did OSU’s season

The argument could be made that Young had to rely on that element of his game because his supporting cast on the line was that much worse and he had to run around in order to survive.

Both are capable of dropping back and passing. Both have shown the ability to scramble and extend plays, one just did so far more often than the other.

I will say Young has a better feel/navigation in the pocket than Stroud though. Stroud has the stronger arm and throws a prettier ball.

Don't make me pull out the recruiting rankings again, cos I will.

He was at Alabama, not UAB.

Sure, he was at Bama so they weren't dog crap, but let's not kid ourselves that Stroud didn't have the better supporting cast this past year, both at receiver and on the line. Recruiting rankings don't mean much if they aren't playing up to potential on the field.
