If we draft Young and he gets beaten or Texans get Stroud and he balls out or other way around.

I feel like whichever one goes to the Texans will be at a disadvantage.  Defensive HC plus more holes than we do.  We had to trade up to get close to where they are picking, plus our staff is all in on a QB.

Put it this way. The Texans will need to rebuild badly then and any QB top pick or not they aren't going anywhere for a good while.

lol

The back n forth with these Stroud/Young threads are hilarious.

Im expecting a Young thread any moment now...

Probably right after Juan posts another thread, this time with Matt Rhule or Moe Howard giving their insight on who we will draft.

Moe will have either Young or Stroud, while Rhule will say his inside sources tell him it is Max Duggan.

I mean im on the Stroud train as well but I feel like this isn't the best example. It looks like an obvious adjustment that any competent QB should be able to make.

I’d make that read on madden

We will let the Texans be the guinea pig experiment team with the "Steph Curry" QB in Young.  Give us the sure thing of Stroud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everybody really wants the panthers to be that guinea pig team but will turn the other way quickly if it doesn't work. Lol

That is what we need in a QB but unfortunately it seems we aren't getting the more accurate and defense reading one.

Is the more accurate & defensive reading one, better at reading defense because he's had more time to read defenses before he throws an accurate pass to a wide open receiver...

Oh look a new thread touting CJ but zero complaints from the “stop creating new threads abt QBs” crowd.

imagine that…

hypocrisy at its finest! Lmao

Nice quote especially for you.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
