*you're

I'm 'whining' on a message board because a) I'm British, so good luck getting a foot in the door of an NFL franchise and b) I have a very lucrative career of my own.

There's a reason these guys are fired every other year too - besides someone like Ozzie Newsome, they're all flawed. I mean at one point Thomas Dimitroff was considered hot poo (NFL Exec of the year) and now he has a podcast in his mid-50s.

NVM. I reread the post.

But still, neither a or b make it more understandable that you want to piss and moan that the Panthers don't agree with you.

And Bryce young is better on the field that’s why his haters can only bring up his size and not his play

I agree, his size is his only true knock - but it's a hell of a knock.

It's like drafting a CB that runs a 5 second 40 yard dash. His speed is always going to be a problem, regardless of how great his bump-and-run technique or zone coverage is.

A) How would he know that?

B) whats a "bad" score?

C) what is his definition of working out?

See how easy this is?

How would he know that?  Um it’s not hard.  They have the S2 data.

no clue what they determine is a “bad score”

I’d think working out= being a franchise level QB.  Don’t think working out means your not a franchise level QB

Purdy had some bad games too. He was projected to go higher and kind of regressed his junior year I believe. I guess my question is if the S2 is the greatest test why wasn’t Iowa St winning more with him at QB? Why are people saying Fields struggles to read defense as he apparently aced it as well? It’s just another source of data to look at like the wonderlic test.

Because Fields has silly haters who don’t like context and can’t imagine what it’s like when EQS and Byron Pringle are playing as your #1 and #2 WR and your offensive line has one NFL worthy player on it.

He’s been small his whole life and always overcome to be the best player on the field so I can’t see why that can’t continue in the NFL

I don't think he scored "low", but if we're looking at pure processing, I would say he's the third quarterback this year. From watching all of their games, I came away with the following impression when it comes to processing.

  • Bryce Young
  • Anthony Richardson
  • C.J. Stroud

  • Will Levis

Just purely from what I saw in games.

No how good would Levis do on this test if they put a glass of milk on the table? If Bryce could only see the top half of the screen? Do they have 300 pounds guys trying to tackle you while you take it? Does the computer get tired 3/4ths of the way through the test and slow down?

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
