I love Richardson's potential, but I'm more than okay with Bryce Young, as other than size he has it.

The safest bet is that Young will probably play well in the NFL. I think he has a shot of being a Drew Brees like quarterback, with more creativity in his play. Anthony Richardson is a freak of nature and as a bet I wouldn't mind the Panthers taking, but I understand why they would choose Young over him.

Even after I decided I'd be okay with Young, I still wasn't totally sold on him, mainly because all the highlights I'd seen were of him scrambling and that didn't really impress me because a lot of that would have been sacks in the NFL.

It wasn't until I started watching long form videos like that QB School guy who actually breaks down his regular non-scrambling throws that I started actually getting excited for Bryce. He's going to be a fantastic player.

This is a response to several who are saying the Richardson has the highest ceiling and can be developed. I have no idea how good he will be. But I am sure of one thing: elite accuracy cannot be developed. It's God given. He may develop into a really good NFL QB. But he will never have elite accuracy.

Young is able to compensate mentally for what he can't physically. Not many of the "prototypically sized" alternatives have been deemed as very intelligent or capable of processing to his extent. I feel if Stroud did what Young did with the talent and vice versa maybe things would be different, but it is hard to overlook the offense run at OSU and talent at WR.

I was swayed by the overall sentiment that there was little difference between BY and the bigger QBs and that it wasn't worth his smaller frame, until I watched the tapes.  Watching his tape and the other QB's tape, I think it would be a mistake to pass on Young.

Give me AR.  I know some folks might poo poo, but I want the longest highest success in my game.  Sure Young and Stroud are more polished and accomplished right now, but look at the coaching and surrounding cast they had……..Give me AR all day.  I don’t want to see us picking #1 again for many many years.  Let’s Go!

I'm getting more and more excited the closer we get to the draft. Should Corbett + Christensen heal quick, a lot of upgrades have been made to a team that late in the season had a shot to win the division.

First, addition by subtraction when it came to Rhule and most of his assistants. Reich, Brown, and Evero are better than Rhule, McAdoo, and Snow. Lost Foreman and Moore, but gained Sanders, Chark, Thielen, and Hurst. A rookie QB has a shot in this division.

Eager to see what the team does after #1. Plenty of needs on both sides of the ball, though I'd like to see them come out with an edge rusher or a defensive lineman. A linebacker possibly

"Longest success" doesn't generally come from a quarterback like Richardson.

    • It's rare enough for a running back to tear the same ACL twice. There's not much of a sample size on the recoveries. And of course Dobbins has missed a lot of time--he was injured twice. That number will drop as his career continues, and even if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with the prior injuries. Dobbins just started and played well for a playoff team all year until he was injured by a hip-drop tackle. Surely his ACL recoveries didn't contribute to his completely random foot injury caused by an illegal tackle? Again, I'm confused why everyone is being so definitive that there's 'very little chance' of any meaningful contribution ever when the greatest counterpoint ever played for us. Thomas Davis tore the same knee over and over again and was basically fine. As for the roster-building stuff, we'll see what happens with Chuba and Dowdle at the end of the year, but Etienne's not going to factor into this. Either Brooks comes back, in which case we've already seen more from him than we have from Etienne, or he doesn't. But Etienne's not forcing him off the team. If anything, Etienne's current role is his absolute floor.
    • Then I would assume disingenuous. Why on earth would you consider this an "exciting" time to be a Panthers fan? Let me ask this, how old are you and how long have you been an NFL fan?
    • An ESPN writer had a good breakdown of teams that were likely to come back to earth(KC and Redskins were two of them) based on outlier results in 2024 in close games. I think that has a lot to do with it. Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts
