my sentiments exactly. However, (hypothetical here) if the pick is AR would you be comfortable starting him day one.  I would think we have an excellent bridge qb in Dalton to allow for AR's development.  Although, I am very aware that a #1 overall pick has to play day one.

What are you paying the coaching staff to do if not improve the players?

I'd be comfortable starting Richardson day one, but you also have the Dalton fallback if he's not picking things up quickly enough in Training Camp.

Fan base has gone from like 80/20 ,stroud young to 70/30 young stroud  due to all the reports and media coverage of Bryce it's been shifting gradually every week since the first Bryce rumors started

I think a lot of fans have read the tea leaves and are just trying to convince themselves Bryce is the best option

If you do a post draft poll it'll be like 95 percent we made the best pick, we won't know that for a good long while.

You need to add 5% in that breakdown there for us visionaries who want Richardson.

It didn't take long at all to know if Cam was the right pick. It won't take Young long either.

I'd say a lot of us fans preferred Stroud, but weren't lying when we said we would be happy with either QB.  I still like Stroud a little better, but I am excited for Young being our new QB.  It was a win/win and still is.

You think Bryce is going to throw long bombs and 400 yards in game 1?? To who? 🤣

Did I say that?

I do think we'll see from Young early on what we saw in college, though. And we'll be glad it was the pick.

I could see 300+ yards and 3-4 passing TDs per game starting out. The guy is going to be special. Not Cam 2.0, but he doesn't need to be.

They plugged intangibles into their models and compared to active players who made transition from college to NFL in last 10-15 years

Bryce Young - Teddy Bridgewater/Tua

Stroud - Wentz

Levis- Darnold/Cutler

I say B.S. to this. The margin of error is just to great when trying to match up several players to one certain player

I told this place in early March that if we move up to one that it would be for Young.

Much like many things, I just listen to weeks of people talking all kinds of outlandish poo without saying too much, and just let the reality come to fruition.

Young will be a good QB in the NFL, and won't be injured anymore than any other QB, if not less than most. Such are his elite movement skills and processing.

The pro comp for Stroud is Prescott and Goff.

Richardson's comp is Wentz.

Did anyone commenting read it?

I was just getting ready to post that but you beat me to it. Wentz before he got hurt was a much different QB. I'm still in the AR boat but I've resigned myself to the CY pick.

The model's comparisons from last year:

Sam Howell: Drew Brees

Matt Corral: Jake Plummer

Malik Willis: Jalen Hurts

That’s the thing…. I think it’s a tactic of NFL brainwashing.  They always compare top QBs to pro bowlers and hall of famers.
