Dave Tepper has become a major asset for the Panthers

I appreciate the optimism, but Sheesh!  Could we at least wait until the team has had its first winning season under Tepper's ownership before anointing him a "major asset"?  Up until about a minute ago, Dave's time as the Panthers owner has been pretty much been a disaster.

I will say that David Tepper remains in the running for the "Most Improved NFL Owner of 2023".  So he's got that going for him.

He's admitted this directly.

That's fine - he still did it, and it was still incredibly obvious to a whole lot of people and incredibly stupid to actually move forward with. Words are words until they become actions and then results, and given the other stuff he's flopped on he's far from an asset at this exact point in time.

Wasn't meant to sound like I was absolving him.

Just pointing out that take is true because he said it himself.

Eh, I don't know about that. Tepper will always be one of those. You don't make as much money as he has without being one.

Truthfully, I don't care whether he's a saint or a son of a b-tch as long as he stays out of the way and lets the football people do their jobs.

Jury still out on Tepper imo dude is a clown. Has screwed many things up since taking over. Funny how fickle the huddle is considering many people ready to call for his head shortly ago.

dudes a fugging billionaire that loves football and owns a team, he's made it very clear that he wants to win super bowls, he's made mistakes and learned from them and is clearly trying to steer the team in the right direction.

who are you?

He made a massive mistake with Rhule, but he seems genuinely like a guy who learns from his mistakes and is determined not to repeat them. This is a very good thing.

To his credit, Tepper admitted the mistake of hiring Rhule. He seemed to have learned a lesson in humility by the mistake and was smart enough to step back, hire  great coaches and let them and Fitterer  make the important football moves.

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
