DAY 2: Best of the Rest Big Board by Positions of Interest

Thought I would assemble a list of players the Panthers are likely to target on Day 2 of the NFL Draft.  Some will argue that some DEs are not on this list--but I think DE means "defensive tackle" and OLB is an edge.  So if the player is 285 lbs and likely is suited to be a 4-3 DE, I did not include him, even though he is called an "edge."   That means the pickings are going to be slim in rounds 2-3 for a 3-4 Edge.

Drew Sanders is a LB who can play ILB and OLB with equal ease.  I think he would fill our OLB / edge needs, so I include him as an OLB/pass rusher.

I agree--Porter and Branch are first round talents--I even see a possible trade up for either.

Ojulari makes the most sense

I prefer they go offense with a guard or TE. But my opinion has no sway over the brain trust.

Cam Smith is an intriguing prospect; he needs a little polishing but he was Horn lite for South Carolina. 39 is too high for him, but he'll be gone by 93.

Byron Young may still be there at 93 if we don't go BJ at 39. I think there will be some good CB's left for us in the 4th
