Not a big fan of this. He's not Brown or Metcalf. Good not great hands and is intimidated but physical play. Watch his game vs Mississippi State last year. He got hit hard the first drive and wasn't a factor the rest of the game. Wanted Sanders or the LSU edge more.

So David Tepper is the biggest smokescreen? In his presser yesterday he said with Bryce Young, you didn't need to pick the best WR and can invest in the defense. With the #39 pick, the Panthers select a WR! lol

I thought about that lol I still think we sign either Floyd or Yannick tho.

By taking Mingo we essentially lose out on a starting caliber EDGE there won’t be one @93

Apparently kicking that can down the road. I'd expect a vet pickup in the weeks to come. There was a lot of talk that teams were not impressed with the depth at edge.

Not sure about this one. He seems similar to theilen and tmj , would've rather got Hyatt or an edge

It’s all about making it as easy as possible for our rookie QB. Defense is taking a backseat for now.

Really like this pick! He's got that "dog" in him. He has that potential to take it the distance every time he touches the ball! 6' 2" 225 lbs and runs a 4.46. Supposedly, Smitty was scouting this guy.

I see this kid making an instant impact. Pray he stays healthy! Him and TMJ could be a great tandem!

Young to Mingo... will be hearing this a lot by the commentators!!

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
