Reich was in a very dysfunctional organization with who knows how much drug crazed owner interference.  Tepper let him assemble a dream team of a coaching staff. This team is hungry and staff ready to prove. New day in Pantherland and I think this team will surprise a lot of people.

I hope that is the case. Would hate to end up with the offensive version of Rivera/Fox.

It's hard to get a grasp of his offensive identity after having a different starting QB almost every year he's coached or oc'd. His win/loss stats are on the good side overall at least. I think he probably does fit in that old school coaching style but not quite as stubborn as what we're used to, he schemed to his QB's strengths in Indy but it didn't really personally build him an identity

I like how he talked about his work and relationship with Thomas Brown. He was not shy to say, that there are differences and they can have discussions and different views.

What I like about it is that he is not trying to whitewash anything. That gives me hope, that those differences get dealt with professionally and not swept under the rug. That way, differences can be constructive, not destructive. I get that vibe with this staff and it is a refreshingly adult way to deal with problems, that will always occur in social systems, such as a coaching staff or football team.

This is the season for excitement and hope and I am all for it. Who cave get excited about this staff and the first pick can't be a real fan of this team.

Let's go win the south!

Finally there is an adult in the room.  Was listening to Sirius earlier while in the car....they said "coaching matters."  This will be a good team and will be very good very soon.

I read somewhere or heard somewhere, may have been on Sirius, that coaching = 30, 40%. Basically a good coach will have 30% more points per game or 30% more wins vs same team with a bad coach. Something along those lines.

I sure hope so, while enough ??? remain. I am all in on everything, but it's only OTA's.

I am more excited to seeing our second/third string QB in the preseason than I ever was for anything in preseason..

I wasn't around for the beginnings of Cam though..

    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
    • The nice thing about the timing of Bryce's contract at least is that it's going to match up with the 2027 Draft Class. No excuses, he either becomes Rams 2nd half Bryce year long, or we draft his replacement.  Nothing wrong with carrying Bryce on his 5th year expiring and a 1st round rookie waiting in the wings. Let the rookie sit until the trade deadline, deal Bryce to a needy team at the time, profit.
    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
