if that won't impress the jets and national media, i don't know what would.

I have a feeling as to why they're practicing if you watched get up Greeny was basically crying about needing help on the Oline not wanting to get Arod injured. He just had a segment about trading for Bakthari LT from green bay because we destroyed their Oline. They may feel like they need reps based off those reactions.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty entertaining watching the emotional freakouts to the reactions of just pointing out that it's kind of a bitch move to bail out on someone you've agreed to work with. It's not the end of the world. It doesn't mean we're soft or anything more than what it is which is just kind of a bitch move. That's all.

But by all means, continue to embarrass yourselves. 😂

Nobody other than the usual suspects of crying  Panthers fans are whining about the situation. Good job.

Games would be cancelled for the thunderstorms. So I have no problem with this.

On top of that it's potential for hail it says with drenching rain for next few hours. The real problem is that we don't have an indoor practice facility. Why the f... would we subject ourselves to these conditions when trying to practice, isn't practice for working on technique and specifics the weather makes that almost impossible. If it's a bitch move to protect your own players from injury call us a gang of female dogs. This isn't the let's see how tough you can be show, it's practice on your craft to later be evaluated and critiqued. How much good work did you think we could get in in these circumstances. This is that slip and pull a groin weather glad football servants realized we weren't gaining a thing from trying to practice in a monsoon and cancelled that dumb idea just as dumb as thinking we're bitching out because we know there's no benefit to trying to practice in a severe thunderstorm.

I guess you missed the point. The primary point was that in the big picture this isn't a big deal either way and the emotional overreaction is comical.

Don't think it is that big of a deal.  Was going to be a light practice...sounds like they got a lot of good work in yesterday and some good film to review.  I would think there are agreements in advance about this type of situation and likely there was a discussion with the Jets about making the decision.

Certainly do not want to put anyone in harm's way during a storm. After the storm there could be field condition concerns about injury.  Sounds like everyone just being smart.

    • No, the casual fan gets sucked into THIS^^^ kind of thinking, and it's so woefully incorrect that it's almost sad. The first is what I've said numerous times, NOTHING about non guaranteed contracts save the billionaire owners a single penny, because they still have to spend their cap floor, and the only reason teams ever don't spend the full limit, is to then roll it over into the next season to be able to spend more that year. But in the end, owners pay the same amount of money no matter what. The reverse is also the same, that the players in totality make the same amount of money as well, because in your example of Clowney not getting that money this year, it will go to another player, as the cap needs to be spent. And you say how we just cut Clowney after we gave him the 2 year contract, but everyone including Clowney's agent and himself, knew when it was signed, that it was more likely to be a 1 year contract than a 2 with how it was structured.  The 2nd year was just to be able to spread out the cap hit and he was always most likely going to end up getting traded or cut. It's why agents and players don't care about the total money in a contract, it's always and only been about the guaranteed money, as the years and overall value are meaningless, always have been, always will be.
    • Agents will have their 1st round picks hold out until the pay structure of their contract is to their liking, not how much money they'll get or even how much is guaranteed, just the when/how they will get the money over the course of the contract. If they're willing to recommend those players hold our, do you really think they won't do it for 2nd rounders to guarantee them an extra 10% of their entire rookie contract?
