Starting rb doesn't need to play in preseason games.  I'd sit him for the most minor reason.  Hopefully that's all this is.

meh.  I want Bryce Young playing.  And if Bryce Young plays I want the best cast around him we can put out there.

Chuba has been beast mode… the guy put on 25 pounds of muscle in the off-season and has been one of our better pass protecting backs this training camp.

I think the kid could be the it guy... he has seemed soooo close at times. Maybe with new (better) coaching he can reach that level of play.

This sounds like 🧢 (cap). Not trying to start nothing but damn.. 25 pounds in the off-season? Have you seen any pics of him this off-season that shows that?

That would be more than Christians weight gain for year 1 to Year 2 which was almost night and day. I’d be interesting in seeing how he looks if you’ve run into anything you can easily track down. If not, no worries.

Fitterer and Al Wallace talked about it during the fanfest live stream. They were not exaggerating, they were saying that the staff was shocked by the weight gain and even Frank Reich was surprised by Chuba's size when he met him at mc.

All of Hubbard’s experience in hand, it’s worth noting: this likely won’t be the same Hubbard. He spent most of this offseason, he said, working on gaining weight that won’t go away down the stretch of a 18-week season.

“I’ve definitely gained weight,” Hubbard said. “Just working on getting stronger. These last couple seasons, throughout the season, I’ve lost quite a bit of weight as the season has gone on. And I got a little slimmer, looking like a receiver at times (laughs).

“So I definitely said I have to bulk up a little bit. Obviously still be fast and explosive and all that, so I’ve worked on it. It’s been really good so far.”

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
