Chris Simms also told us Mart Corral and Trey Lance were the  best QBs in their respective drafts. He only cares about size and having a big arm.  No surprise since he sucked at processing when he was a pro.

If it makes you feel any better he also thinks Drew Brees was massively overrated.

No he didn't.

He had Lance 6th in his rankings.

Lance was not his first

Visual and aesthetics aside, it's a tough game. And yes the OL has been bad (nickle for every time I've said that over the last 4 years) but the one thing we heard about him over and over when his size came up is that he's so nimble and has such incredible pocket presence that he never allows himself to absorb those kinds of vicious hits that could shorten his career.

Well based on 5+ hits and 2 sacks in 6 drives...

We gave up a sh*tload to get him, so he better be made of steel, because a 350lb+ lineman don't give a crap how smart you are when he lands on you.

This.

I mean, Chris isn't wrong. To an uneducated observer, be it somebody's spouse that doesn't regularly watch the sport or an acquaintance at the gym who has (at best) a surface level understanding of the game, Bryce Young doesn't look like somebody you'd expect to go #1 in the NFL.

Thankfully, that's why we don't just go off of a player's senior prom photo but rather their game tape. Anybody with just the slightest hint of a football IQ can watch the film and tell you that he was the #1 player in college at the #1 position in football.

That's a bold statement.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
