curl curl curl curl love this offense

hoping it’s just a delay in getting the offense installed because everyone’s new, but through the early part of the season the offense looks dated.

nobody’s getting the ball in stride, no open spaces. It’s all run run run to set up the dig or the out.

And then a screen to Theilen

Damn now it’s Bryce’s fault Minho got drafted and dropped a pass lol

Didnt say that.  Just stating what our PR dept. shared.  It was on video lol.

And I after drafting him, I thiught Mingo could be an Aj Brown type of player, but he's been no better than Shi Smith to this point but is still getting snaps over guys who have proven production like Viska and TMJ.  It makes no sense.  Mingo has been ass.

What happened to Andy "the tall messiah" Dalton? I thought the offense was going to light it up with Bryce on the sideline.

There are problems everywhere, but none bigger than the play calling and trash scheme. Reich was a huge mistake.

Meh, Dalton could throw 5 pick-sixes and a few on here would still blame Young for them.

The line can't pass block either

Just Moton and Bozeman who are above average pass blockers. Bozeman can't help both guards. They seem to be asking Ekwonu to help inside and kick out while he struggle to pass block for himself. Not going to be good for developing routes.

Going to have to go to max pro help

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
