1 and done in the playoffs after being regular season warriors against bad and mediocre teams. Tua is their weakest link and they need to upgrade QB and find some toughness if they want to be a contender and not a pretty pretender.

That's why you can only take the Huddle Hot Takes with a grain of salt. Tua is a fine NFL QB who had a rough night on the road in one of the toughest environments to play in. But these numb skulls will try and paint a definitive picture after 1 bad game, or season and think they have a clue what they're talking about

See that's the issue with posters like yourself and the difference between you and others.

You see the results of Bryce Young for the 2023 season and Tua's record against teams with winning records and his recent playoff perfomance and want to argue about anything else to prop them up. Others call it like it is. Losing football games and not looking like a franchise QB.

Stroud literally had more big time football plays/throws in 3 quarters last night than Bryce had in 16 games.   That’s not hyperbole.

They lucked out

they were wanting to hire Sean Payton and sign Tom Brady and backup plan was McDaniels and Tua

Luck is part of the game. We got unlucky with the Reich hire. Right the ship with one of the Johnsons. The thought process of getting the guy who was gonna develop Bryce was the right thought. Reich was just the wrong guy.

I mean, the Dolphins have essentially been beating up on bad teams all year. The only good team they beat was the Cowboys (22-20). Whenever they play someone good they got nothing.

It wasn't one game. He's been downright bad his last three games. 4 TDs vs. 5 INTs over his last three. Under 200 yards twice with 237 being his best yardage of the three. Those are Bryce numbers.  He was red hot pre-Halloween but he really tailed off post-Halloween. Post-Halloween he has 13 TDs vs. 8 INTs and only one 300 yard game. He's thrown for less than 250 yards in 7 of those 10 games. He looked like a potential MVP pre-Halloween but post-Halloween he was average at best and over the last three he looked like a backup.

It’s a hot take to judge Bryce on his entire body of work as an NFL QB?

Wait so you just gonna ignore them missing 25 sacks with Jalen and chubs. Missing one of the best safety in game, and missing one of the highest paid CB with Howard.

this all on tua huh? lol

They can score 70 in the regular season but only 7 in the playoffs. Too bad all those D guys weren't there to catch some TDs huh lol

Yikes. Tua is essentially Bryce's ceiling, and even Dolphins fans have lost faith in him. We really bout to waste 2-3 years wondering if Bryce is the answer when we are seeing his absolute best ceiling getting knocked out of the first round yet again?

Josh Allen gets knocked out early every year too. Dumdum. There are a handful of clutch qb’s in the entire history of the nfl. As awful as he is, BY might have the clutch gene and that’s worth a little extra time unless you have a no-brainer qb available

I would venture to say nearly EVERY QB would have struggled playing the Chiefs in Arrowhead in -9 degree weather.  It’s an anomaly.  This $hit about Tua being a bust after last night are a joke.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
